This. For everyone saying "ground the kid for a month!" It's China, he's going to a Labor Camp - life ruined.
Exactly - doing this in China will have far worse consequences than doing that in a western country...

The Indian kid that deliberately drove his BMW into a river/lake (whatever it was) because he wanted a Jaguar takes the icing.

Funny — I always joke about this looking at new cars with my young kids ... "well I guess if they break something I have to buy it" ... usually a porsche or M car...

Lol

Depends how much sugar it's in the tank, sense sugar can't dissolve it will start clogging fuel filter and will get into fuel injectors.

Most likely won't damage the engine but parts needs to be replaced. If detected early you can clean the tank and flush the lines, replace filter and you might need new injectors.

you got it wrong with this one mate. from what I have heard and seen, if you are an Asian kid and pull some stunt like this, you get spanked so bad that you cant sit for weeks even to take a shit. white kids get an advice and probably grounded at best.

Most Chinese are filthy rich, at least here in Australia. I remember from 2 years ago, when I was haggling with my sales rep on the price of my car (2017 440i) and he was almost about to tell me to find another dealer. lol.

Just about then, 2 Chinese kids rock up, they were barely 20. Looks at the BMW M3 Comp on the floor right next to us (~$180k AUD). A Chinese rep comes over to them running from out of nowhere. Of course, those 2 kids can't speak a word in English.
The sales rep and the kid talk for about two minutes. The kid opens his messenger bag, hands the rep cash. Yes, cash worth $180k.
I was spell bound. the Chinese sales rep comes over to the rep I am talking with, asks him, if the car is available and can be made for delivery by end of day as it's that kid's birthday or he will be finding another dealer.

I stopped haggling any further and got on with the rest of the process to get my car.

Well Chinese monies u see? But 180K is still cheap to him. At least compared to mainland China. An M4 with individual color combo will be AUD 258k in my country.

If that had been my son and we were shopping for a car for him I would have bought myself a Z4 and been in with the finance guy when the cops showed up.

Mehh, I don't think this really teaches a lesson that he needs, it just seems wasteful and as if these things don't represent honest and hard work to obtain for most people. Crushing a brand new car just displays how easy his family has it, doubt it gets the point across.

If forced to buy it, I would donate the car to someone, maybe to the person who cleans his house so he has to see it parked in the driveway

it is a very sad story happened in my mother land. yes most of the rich people there are very cocky too. Hong Kong is getting there too, most kids don't respect others at all. they don't think about the consequence, sad.

I think a labor camp ought to do the trick.
There are also parents who spend tens of thousands of dollars for their kids birthday party.

This trend needs to stop.
