You must like scratched up paint.

Word of advice everyone: don't be this guy if you care about your car...

Many dealerships don't care. When I picked up my M340 from BMW Woodlands they had "detailed" it, resulting in a few swirl marks, spilled shampoo in the interior ( which dried and I had to return later to have them remove it after noticing the following day) and a door ding, which I'm not sure was a result of the "detail" or something else they did. Bottom line- many dealerships are sloppy and reckless. You may spend 60k+ on a car and they will still treat it as if it's a used 1993 Honda Civic because they don't care. Now when I must go to that dealership for service, I instruct them not to wash my vehicle. I've also since had ceramic coating applied.

This is mine at the time of delivery

Get it off the truck: Check
Do a safety check: Check
Put a tank of gas: Check
Hand me the keys: Check

Folks at BMW Seattle have been amazing and this is exactly how the car is sitting in my garage right now.

Nothing better than picking up a brand new car that is unprepped & dirty.

She will get her 1st full bath, interior protection and ceramic coating over the weekend.

On Monday, off to PPF and tint

+1. It's extremely irritating how the don't try to add some more attention to washing these expensive cars.

As far as telling them not to wash it, I did that before once and it still came out washed from dealer..... how hard is it to follow directions? Next time I have to go to dealership, I'm going to put signs that says 'DO NOT WASH' on my dash and on the window.

I care about my car...just not neurotic about it. And in 2-3 years I'll buy a new one so it won't really matter.
