I could use a clarification. I've used Assisted Driving (over 40 mph) and to a much lesser extent, also Assisted Driving Plus (traffic jam assistant, under 40 mph).
What is the difference between the two? Both will assist with steering as well as speed control. |

Not sure about other differences. I think it's a good system overall. Got some limitations but many useful features as well. Last edited by hamera; 10-23-2019 at 03:53 AM.. |

I do really enjoy the feature, but has anyone noticed that it does terribly at recognizing when cars have come to a full stop? Often times mine will speed up rapidly after I pass someone or head straight toward a really slow car or stopped car. I almost always have to intervene.
In fact just for giggle, I've let it come up on a car, sound the warning of collision avoidance and definitely had to slam on the breaks otherwise it would have just hit the car. I noticed some cars, that have inferior assisted driving, do a lot better with detection of cars in front of them. |

Only real downside I could find though. Normal braking and distance keeping are fine. But it seems to race into traffic standing still only to slam on the brakes .

I absolutely love Driving Assistance Pro and having level 3 autonomous driving under 40 MPH. It's amazing how much better Driving Assistance Pro in the G20 3 is compared to Driving Assistance Plus in the G01 X3.

My car almost crashed into a wall on a curvy road at around 30mph to 40mph. I am not using it in curvy roads anymore.
Anyone else had any issues like this? |

How did it almost crash into a wall if you had your hands on the steering wheel?

I didnt touch the steering wheel but I was keeping my hands above it.
I was expecting the car to turn right in that bend but it didnt. I didnt want to risk so turned the steering wheel myself. But it all happened in a fraction of a second. It was a night drive and the bend did not have the white line on the edge so the car did not understand the curve. I am not too sure what made the car to drive straight in the bend. |

The problem is that drivers vary greatly and therefore their understanding of what is appropriate also varies greatly. My suggestion is to do what the terms say...use it as an aid only. Drive your car the same way you always did before they added all these "safety features". Keep them as a semi fail safe. |

From my understanding, the reason for this is that manufacturers of these ACC systems assume that humans have the ability to see and anticipate objects in front that would require their intervention (hence why these are driver aids, not driver replacements), however if the system was to slam on the brakes unnecessarily, then it would be the fault of the ACC system if the car gets rear ended by someone behind them. I think it's something car manufacturers do a piss poor job of informing the public of outside of some fine print stating that the driver should always be aware. There needs to be better education as to WHY the driver needs to remain attentive. Especially when you have marketing departments calling their systems "autopilot".

Is emergency braking in the Pro package? The lesser package only has the warning? |

The regular driving assistance is mostly (radar-based) blind spot warning and some minor things like slightly extended speed-limit info, and warnings against rear- and side collisions. EDIT: I now realize you were more asking about the differences to the G01 DAPlus - not sure about those in details. |

Yes the Driver assistant professional has emergency braking. Sometimes it stops my car pulling out of a tight garage space. It definitely works.
