Coding Comfort Plus on M340i

Hi folks,

I wasn't able to find any clear instructions on how to enable comfort plus (comfort+) on m340i including the setting in in ECO Individual setting.
It took some fiddling but found it on my own. Here's what you need to do.
It enables Comfort Plus when you hit the comfort button, shows in the gauge cluster as well as idrive screen. You can also set Comfort plus in Eco Pro Individual in both steering and suspension. I have Adaptive M suspension (2VF), I don't know if it makes any difference if you don't have 2VF.

FWIW, driving wise, suspensions definitely feels a lot more softer. I wasn't able to feel a great deal on steering with Comfort Plus.

enjoy!

Code:
BDC_Body3 > CAFD_7083 > ComfortWorldMode1 -> Change to: ComfortPlus
HU_MGU > CAFD_3E52 > FES_COMFORT_PLUS -> Change to: Active
HU_MGU > CAFD_3E52 > ECO_CONF_STEERING_COMFPLUS -> Change to: Active
HU_MGU > CAFD_3E52 > ECO_CONF_ATTENUATION_COMFPLUS -> Change to: Active
I used esys. Probably possible via bimmercode too if you have expert option.

Wow great instructions. I used Bimmercode and was able to find all of the settings you listed. It works!

Some instructions for Bimmercode:
BDC_Body3 > Expert Mode > Search "ComfortWorldMode1" -> Change to: ComfortPlus

HU_MGU > Expert Mode > Search "FES_COMFORT_PLUS" -> Change to: Active

HU_MGU > Expert Mode > Search "ECO_CONF_STEERING_COMFPLUS" -> Change to: Active

HU_MGU > Expert Mode > Search "ECO_CONF_ATTENUATION_COMFPLUS" -> Change to: Active

What do the last two settings do? Does the second last one make the steering even lighter than when it is in comfort?

Search comfort plus on the page, you'll see that cheat codes already exist for all these settings and more comfort plus changes

Hi - I just picked up my M340i here in the UK and wanted to understand what comfort plus mode is? What are the benefits?

Also how can I get this activated on my car as I'm. new to coding and never attempted before.

Mine is a Sep 19 build.

Thanks!

This worked on my 2021 330e and is the only place on the Internet code to make it happen. I have the M adaptive suspension and the track handling package, and I used BimmerCode.

ls3c6 ,

When you use Bimmercode, select a module, then in upper right corner is a slide switch that is Expert mode. Also, if I recall, BDC is called Body Controller, or something like that.

When in Expert mode, you can search for the Specific function, but you have to be in correct section (a 4 digit number & name)

Hope that helps!

Yes it's those specifics that are missing, which subfolder once in expert mode?

ls3c6 ,

Here you go:
HU_MGU3:
3008 FES FesComfort_Plus from 00 to 01
3008 FES Eco_Conf_Attenuation_ComfPlus from 00 to 01
3008 FES Eco_Conf_Steering_ComfPlus from 00 to 01
BDC_BODY3:
3221 PfFesMaster FesComfortWorldMode1 from 00 to 05
3221 PfFesMaster FesPiaDefaultEcoWorldMode from 07 to 09
3221 PfFesMaster FesPiaDefaultComfortWorldMode from 04 to 05

I used Bimmercode in Expert Mode with ENet cable & LAN to USB-C adapter connected to my Samsung S8 to do that & it worked fine

Hope that helps!

gnolivos ,

Honestly, not sure, BUT I do know that the list of codes I provided does work -- can't say I use it much though

Almost a 2 year bump; if I had to take a wild guess, yes - given what attenuation means.

Fwiw after coding comfort plus only as the driving mode and on the iDrive, I feel like the car became a bit more responsive. It feels like the perfect balance between sport and comfort and imho kinda brought the car a bit more alive. Sounds identical to Comfort; I can still hear the turbo etc, and steering is the same as comfort if not sliiiightly tighter but that sliiiightness might just be placebo from the car feeling more responsive.

If you've coded it you can see that it says "extra comfortable setting", so I think the attenuation and steering values changed would mean a quieter car with more flaccid steering.

the steering is much lighter, and by some margin. i tried it yesterday and switched between comfort and comfort plus.

however the car is not as pointy, it's like it also has a lazier turn circle but this i can't confirm.

haven't had a chance to switch back and forth to run over bumps to test the magnitude of softer suspension - will do that at some stage and report.

Would you recommend leaving the last two settings alone or enabled with Comfort Plus?

I coded ComfortPlus but left out the steering and the attenuation
