BMW Live Cockpit Plus?

Good afternoon
Does anyone have a picture of the BMW's Live Cockpit Plus? Is it analog- digital like the cluster in a 530e or G30 530i 6WA option or is it all the way analog?

The material I have seen shows it is like the 530e cluster but I am not sure.

I have not seen the car (nor the clusters as only the 330i MSport with Pro is available here to check out), and I have around a month to decide between this and Live Cockpit Pro.

There are 3 different forms of instrument cluster
Live Cockpit (analog)
Live Cockpit Plus (don't know)
Live Cockpit Pro (fully digital)

Need help, kind regards.

I've never heard of the live cockpit "plus." From what I know, I thought the live cockpit is only the fully digital dash, the others I don't think are labled as a "live cockpit" but I could be wrong. Also for the G20 there are only 2 gauge setups available, the live cockpit professional, which is the fully digital dashboard, and the standard analog gauges with a small screen in the bottom portion of the dash. This gauge setup is shared with the X3 and is essentially backlit gauges with a small screen at the bottom. Maybe this is different in your country?

Plus could be this one. It was on some of the BMW test mules.

Yeah this is on pair with the Live Cockpit.
I believe that is the standard analog cluster.

But the Live Cockpit Plus I have no idea what it looks like. And the configuration sites are absolute rubbish.

That is what I thought too, but I have not seen a single G20 picture with this cluster. It is either the analog or live cockpit pro.

Live Cockpit plus has analog speedometer.
Live cockpit professional has the digital one.

Yes it has an analog speedometer but is it an analog digital one (with the clusters like the 530e G30, or is it a an analog one with a display in the bottom. That is my doubt, as BMW does not have the decency to show which is, even for those who have ordered cars with a certain spec. I was told it is analog-digital but noone knows.

Below are images of Instrument cluster that comes as standard, and with Live Cockpit Plus option. (It's the same instrument cluster)

This is analog/digital hybrid solution: Dials are analog, physical dials, but they are hidden under the semi-transparent display surface. If you pay close attention on the first picture below, you will see a vague outline of white dials in the middle of each circle.
Numbers are backlit, and digital display is in the center-lower part of the instrument cluster.

Thanks. In the document it shows that it is like I thought, analog dials but with digital centering, and the tachometer and speedometer are not fully enclosed. The display is also bigger. Oddly enough I can not seem to find any pic of a cluster that is like that.
Probably a mistake from BMW in the material as I have seen a ton of images from motor.de and all the clusters are all analog for live cockpit plus and the same as live cockpit

Saw this just moments ago in Motor.de. What a pity. This cluster is not growing on me. It looks very bland. I really hoped Live Cockpit Plus was the analog-digital solution in the 530e.

Is the color of the analog dials customizable? I'd prefer them to be in other color such as white...

I believe they are white during the day and orange at night/dark (possibly orange if headlights are on? not too sure), they are similar to the F22 2 series and G01 X3 which use similar analog dials.

Guys, to clear everything up there are only 2 gauge setups available.

1) The standard dashboard is what has been seen in the previous posts, analog gauges that are lit up to appear digital, but are in reality Analog, similar to the 2 series. They are also available on the X3 if you don't opt for navigation. They are not the hybrid setup seen in the X3 (w/nav but no executive trim) or in the 5 series. Its purely analog with a small rectangular screen at the bottom of the dash.

2) Live Cockpit Professional is standard with navigation, this is all screen, with no bezels and is only available on the new 3,8,7, Z4,X5, and X7 models.

There is no third/middle/in-between gauge setup for the US. Other markets may differ. You can see via the builder and the cars available and the way the options work, that there are only 2 gauge setups. Just wanted to clear things up for everyone.

I would think the "standard" one would be more expensive to produce than the "professional" solution which has a screen only. Displays are so cheap now a days. Unless they're trying to tailor the standard one to more consumers with traditional looking dials, it's really weird to see them not use the professional one as standard

This is simply because it's not cheaper. The screen is not just any display for phones or tablets, it is a good quality one with deep blacks and additionally it has to withstand all the tortures of car driving , like vibrations and temperature changes, for over 10 years. Which phone does that? Suppliers let the OEMs pay for that.

Then there's the other hardware. A chip with 3D rendering capability, networking, multiple kinds of memory, all with the same requirements mentioned above.

Developing the software costs quite a lot as well, even if the cost is not per piece.

It would make no sense to create analogue gauges which try to look as digital as possible, if digital ones would be cheaper and you could just use those instead.

So I guess the first video is correct, but orange color by default when in Comfort mode...? Bummer...

and I like the one on the X3 much better, that looks modern but not excessive like the virtual cockpit in the new 3ers...
