It will be nice to see status change to at the port. Not sure how long it takes for them to clear customs but it may be possible for some to have theirs by the weekend.
I am hoping for Monday delivery, I have a wedding to go to on Saturday and it would be torture knowing I could be picking up the car if I was home.

It was happening a few months ago but not sure if it still does that.
I see the Glovis Clipper has left the dock so our cars should be unloaded. I was able to check my build today, the lumbar and width adjustment were deleted as expected but the HK audio was included.

After my car arrived in Brunswick, the following day the status stepped back to “at port”. Delivery to the dealer beat the genius estimate by 3 days.

M340i arrived in Brunswick, GA on 4/26. Was originally told it would deliver to the dealership on 4/30. Didn't deliver and the new update is delivery by 5/24. Any ideas what might be going on? So far neither the Genius line nor my dealership have been able to give me any updates.

Glovis Clipper has left NYC and already made it to Newark port 2 hours ago...I saw the ship and took a video during my run earlier (just don't know how to post it on here as I am new lol) – My dealership is in Brooklyn, NY so hopefully cars are unloaded, and checked into VDC by tomorrow! Anyone else picking up in NJ/NY?

Doyelstown, PA is where my dealer is, so about 90 minutes down the NJ Turnpike (no traffic of course). When I got up this morning the tracking sites showed Glovis Clipper already on the berth right by the VDC. It left later in the afternoon for another dock around by EWR so we’re all definitely unloaded for hours now. Hopefully we all won’t be long at the VDC at they get all our cars trucked out quickly!

Cool! Yeh I think my car was supposed to get off at Newark (where it is moored right now)...Do they typically unload the cars right away? Bc also did arrive at the port around 6-6:30PM (I literally saw it lol)...Hopefully we can call Genius tomorrow and they have an estimated delivery date at the dealership. I've heard some people say VDC has taken 2-4 days for them while others have said 2-4 weeks + haha...It's scary. This is the toughest part. And my SA hasn't been that helpful...he's way too laid back haha.

Says at the Port for me also online (went a step back)...Called Genius and they said it's getting loaded onto a carrier later today but will arrive at the dealership next Thursday, May 13th...This is strange as the dealership is only 15 miles away from the Port. Apparently, the carrier goes to the farthest location first and then makes it way back lol...Hopefully I can pick it up by next weekend (this wait has been brutal lol)

called the genius they told me the car will be sent out on the 12th and arrive on the 13th.

I called the Genius and they said the car will be at the processing center for a couple of days and is scheduled for dealer delivery on the 13th.

Nice, so we all are on the 13th. Hopefully they can beat that by a few days. Ik usually they have it at the dealership for 1-2 days after delivery.

My cars been done since 3/29, mine still was made with lumbar support it’s that old lol

This is my 4th BMW and not departing the VDC until the 12th seems very long. I was told it can be as little as 2 days and have definitely had mine move that quickly before. I believe customer order cars they try to prioritize.

I’m also a 3/29 build and haven’t been told anything about the passenger lumbar so I’m interested to see what I get. I’m just glad I got in before the HK shortage and (hopefully) after the bad amps from last year.

Well, that’s one advantage of waiting all this time

I’ve ordered a number of BMWs over the years, this one certainly has been a challenge! Had mine almost a week, and at least now it seems all worth it. (Passenger seat lumbar and seat width deleted on my build, but I can live with that-I got everything else. Feel lucky.)

You got that right. As long as I get it by next weekend then the wait is not too bad. I'm going to miss checking the ship tracking sites 5 times a day.

Did your tracking status change back to in transit when it was between the VDC and the dealer?

The car status essentially went from at the port (Brunswick), and the next morning I looked at the website and it showed it was at the dealer, 3 days earlier than the genius had indicated!

I called the dealer, and my CA was even surprised it got there so fast!

Loving the car. Fit/finish is excellent. Very solid build. Fun to drive.

I know you are excited. I enjoy looking at it just setting in the garage

Dealer called me today to let me know the car will be there Thursday, which he also told me last week. Curious as to why an unsolicited confirmation came through today. Maybe there’s a car carrier assignment now.
