Hi all,

i placed an order for a G80 about 7 weeks ago but didn't realize the car will be a 2025. I'm dying to get into a car for the summer but finding a new G80 impossible. If anyone sees a Black on Black or Dravit Grey on Black or Red Xdrive Comp for sale please let me know! looking to get a New car not used.

you ordered a 2024 M3, can't order a 2025 yet

If the dealer did not have an allocation the order may not have been accepted by BMW yet so it could be a ‘25 but the dealer should have told you.

You likely will not find many new G80’s “In Stock” maybe a few here and there but even if a dealer gets one that is not already sold it will go fast.

I was at a dealer that had a Twlight Purple M3C and by the time I left it was sold. They had just gotten it in 2 days prior. I actually could have purchased it but wanted a Base

i was told it was a 24 but my dealer called me and said they are not accepting 2024 orders anymore and it will go in as a 2025, the LCI once they announce them. So the order will go in July and be delivered October /November

Then the dealer did not have an allocation when you ordered. Hopefully he/she told you that when you ordered

that's incorrect. There is one more production month left (June) and those allocations have not been released.

So it seems like they never entered you into the order bank.

Does anyone know of a dealer that i could place an order for a '24 build? i guess the person i am working with isn't the most honest ;/

You might want to use an auto broker like Day Laborer if you want to get a '24 allocation. But even if you did get June production, you probably wouldn't have the car until late July ...

I just searched Cars.com and found 115 new M3's for sale. You could buy one and have it shipped to you from anywhere in the country. You obviously might have to compromise on your preferred colors/options, but you'd have a car pretty quickly.

I found a ‘23 in one of the BMW Facebook groups. Only 68k. Only one problem, rebuilt title from rear-end hit and a stupid ass wing 😉

I’d personally steer clear as to total this from a rear-end hit it needed to be a pretty hard hit.

May production allocations were last month. BMW releases production month allocations, thus the next one is June, which will be released later this month.

This past Sunday, I asked a broker if there is an allocation for a 24 M3. She said a dealership in Maryland has 1 allocation. I agreed and today it went into production. The dealership said delivery might be end of May. Is that even possible? I thought it takes months.

The "it takes months" is if you have no allocation, allocation is the tough waiting part. Once you have that and you're in production, it's 1-2 days, total, for assembly and build, then it's on a boat to the US. It shouldn't be longer than 2-3 months from production to delivery.

2 to 3 months from production to delivery makes sense. So if my dealer said end of May delivery, he was probably mistaken and meant end of June or July. thx for the clarification.

If it went into production today or yesterday, there is no chance it’ll be here by the end of May. It’ll take a week to complete production, then a couple weeks minimum to get to the port and onto a ship, then another month to cross, and a couple more weeks to get through VDC and onto your dealer.

Look into the brokers on this forum. Day Laborer and autocompanion and see if there is any incoming M3 that are not claimed or have an open allocation in May. If you are open to driving or paying a bit extra to have it shipped, it should be worth their small commision.

I did the F12 search as mentioned by TurtleBoy and watched the video. It says production date is May 2. So with that in mind, probably end of June or beginning of July the car could be delivered to the dealer.

Just fyi the vast majority of those you see on cars.com are not for sale. The cars automatically get put on the website when they’re in process of being built.
