To me, the front is the best looking part I don't love it but I like it. I'll reserve final judgement until I see it in person.

The side is very B8 A5 and, IMO, the rear lights would have looked better if they were more squared off, like the G20, instead of coming to a point.

It looks just like any other cars from its competitors.

The new front with the massive grills would look better without that hood line!

The rear taillights are type trash. G20 over these anyday but the coupe shape is pretty good.

Do feel like at this day and age they could have done a better job. But they try not to take away from the higher models looks. Which dont sell anyways. BMW would get more 4 series sales then 8 series all day so not sure why try to make it uglier.

Now I was not a fan of this styling whatsoever…however the rendering from Motor1 kind of made me do a double take. Maybe it's this shade of blue or some tweaking I'm not noticing but I'm starting to like it.

It's the air intakes & lack of hood line. PLEASE BMW DO THIS!

Knowing BMW, they'll probably reserve the deletion of it for the M4

What? Its getting an ugly hood-line regardless of M model or not, its already been both spied and leaked out.

And it's accentuated by the lines around the roundel which makes the jutting of the grilles even more prominent.
7 series, 5 series an 3 series don’t have hood line.

3 series coupe (E92) also didn’t have it.

BMW can do cars without the line.... so I find no reason to release a car with it.

I agree, at this juncture of automotive design, BMW could of done a wayyyyyyyy better job at making their flagship 4/M4 model look a lot more physically appealing.

This is my main reason for being disappointed, not that it looks overdone but knowing the potential to make it better is at their fingertips but they chose to forgo that in the name of flamboyance..

Whatever, I'm just hoping they don't also royally F up the next gen M2 or else its Mercedes, here I come

Nice Civic/Mustang. The grille is in its own category - not big enough 😂

You described an Audi, sad that the 3 series went from the most copied car to an a5 Audi bad copy!

I like the concept 4 and I like the leak and the outlines that can be seen from the camouflaged test cars. However seeing the real thing in it’s entirety is always a very different thing, maybe it disappoints like the 8 series did for me. (Too big and soft looking). Maybe it’s better than any of the leaks and the concept, we should know soon if this thing is to enter production in a few months.

Dropping off my kids at school this morning there was a black 1st gen Maser QP, that thing is impossibly cool IRL while not having any standout single design feature so you never know. Jezza got it right immediately in the TG episode and it still holds true. Not sure German processes can ever pull that type of cool off though even if this return of Bangle like risk taking is refreshing.

This render is pretty much just taking the concept and changing the colour.

Back reminds me of a new 8 series, not bad. Front further solidifies, my next car will be an f82.
