iPhone volume after BT disconnect from car.
When I turn my car on a Bluetooth connection is established between my iPhone and the car. The 'phone's volume is then reduced to minimum and the car's speakers are used when required.
When I turn the car off and the Bluetooth connection is terminated, the iPhone's volume remains at minimum. Does anyone know why the 'phone's volume doesn't return to its previous setting? Is it the car or the 'phone that's the problem? Or is there a setting somewhere that needs changing? ID7 is updated to the latest version 07/2024.30 and the 'phone is running IOS 18.0.1. TIA |

Seems to be "normal" but you can try the suggestion in this thread https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=31528927

Thanks for that, I'm glad I'm not alone (although, unlike those who posted, I don't use CarPlay).
I wonder if, when the BT link is established, the car sends the 'phone an instruction to reduce the volume, but when the BT link is terminated, it has no means of sending the instruction to increase the volume??? I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who does not have this problem. TIA |

What do you have the device type selected as on the phone bluetooth settings.
Mine did this years ago and I'm sure deselecting car on here fixed my issue. Mine reverts back to the previous ring volume ok now. |
