BMW 2025 Pricing! LCI-2

I’m sure this has been discussed already somewhere, but surprised not any obvious posts on this.

Having cancelled my M340d and currently in the new RS3 Vorsprung, in true ‘me’ fashion I’m looking at what’s next…… no rush of course.

I just built an M340i LCI-2 (obviously) and a number of things instantly stand out, here are some:

Packages dismantled, No Tech Plus?
Cloth interior starting on a 60k m-sport car!
Run flats only available on some alloys wheels
Acoustic glass - extra
Harmon kardon - extra
Heated steering - extra
Adaptive suspension- extra
Adaptive LED headlights - extra

The list goes on….. they’ve literally stripped everything making them an individual item. What are they thinking!?
The used cars will be a minefield imo - what’s it got, what’s missing?
The packs were nice and simple, why change, I don’t get it?

To top it off, full spec I looked at before is now £77,340…..
Sorry BMW, but this car isn’t worth nearly £80k despite inflation.

Has anyone else considered new and found the same? I can’t be the only one laughing at this.

Nobody is paying £77k or £80k though, there are big discounts available

Believe me there are. Most people will get the £2-3k ‘dealer contribution’, but the average punter isn’t getting the 10-15% off.

Even with let’s say 11% which from memory I secured last time, that’s £69k for a car that was £61k. I don’t feel a flat bottom wheel and 8.5 MMi is worth an £8k uplift.
Going to wait until nearer the time, end of year, perhaps even consider the new 4 series grand coupe as a comparison - not priced one yet though

They really should be - it literally took me less than 5 minutes to get offered a 14.2% discount just now.

EDIT - when I loaded it up to £70k list price the discount fell to 13.5% but still pretty easy to get and I'm sure you'd get more with some haggling

It just goes to show though doesn't it that anyone who's not that 'savvy' about the pricing could get absolutely rinsed by the dealers?

Just built one on Carwow also, somethings not right as with every option ticked BMW website is £77k but Carwow is £1500 less. It’s not easy with so many pack differences but will spend some time to see where the difference is.

13% so far, still making it a £5k uplift from previous. This seems in line with what others said re new model / inflation.

Thought I would post here rather than create a new one as it all relates to my next purchase.

Still considering new with discounts now up to 17%.
However, not excluding used either. Despite what people think, I still personally love the M340d so checking used vehicles daily - must be 2024 minimum with all the kit.

Anyway, to the point - can a dealer, or dealer group ‘blacklist’ you?
I enquired into a car, got a call back saying it’s gone, however still being advertised a week later? More so, it was the way I was treated and spoken too, not interested in taking my details (despite saying would keep me posted on similar), very much a can’t be arsed attitude full stop?

I did cancel my new build earlier this year due to changes at home, financial reasons, but I paid for that as lost my £1k deposit. Whilst this dealer isn’t near the other, they are within the same group.

Just curious……

Wow. I got one of the last brand new G21s, M340i, Brooklyn, pan roof, tech pack, maybe another pack too (I've got HK. HUD, heated wheel, memory seats, black wheels) for £56,500 otr. Cheaper than some second hand ones..
