Panoramic roof drains cleaning

Hi All,

I've tried a bit of searching but couldn't find anything relevant. Does anyone have a guide or tips as to how / where to clean the roof drains on the Touring with panoramic roof?

Thanks in advance!

And that's even if you don't use the sunroof, as someone mentioned.

Thanks for those links. Not G21 specific but I suppose the design won't be a million miles from it either, so good thinking there!

In fact when I look at the info it seems remarkably similar to the pano roof on our Mini R50. Some things don't change much I see!

yeah I only keep the sun blind open to let light in

I wish there was an non -opening sunroof option like you get in a Jaaaag or Tesla ..... This is just over complicated. Still seems to work fine after 4 years but getting water inside the car could lead to all sorts of electrical gremlins

I’ve got a bird picking at the seal on mine. Don’t want to change it until I know the bugger’s dead, but don’t want to leave it to the point that water gets in!

The pano roof was the reason we chose ours (and the light interior) so I'm happy to stay on top of maintenance to keep it going well. On our Mini, which is now 19yrs old (!), the roof still works well and leaks just a tiny amount if parked on a steep incline.

Mind you... a few years ago I found the hard way I hadn't kept on top of the maintenance when it did let a bit of water in. Lesson learnt, I now stay on top of it. As the 3 ages (now 3yrs) I'm keen to stay on top of it too.

the full fat pano sunroof is a popular option no doubt, and BMW seems to make it work, despite the complexity

And Jaguar has taken a sabbatical from making cars , so BMW must be doing something right
