This, and the $0dn/$450 mo 440 are unheard of! Were either of these deals on leftover 2018s in 2019? In 2018 on my ZHP 340 there was a $3k incentive I believe and at 3/36 my payments are still $698/mo, MSRP was $62k.

My M340 has an MSRP over $65K and my payments are around $650 a month for 3/36k lease. That is with no MSDs or any down payment.

My lease will be up in Sep 2022 and with the way things are looking, I will buy this car as its residual is a joke in the current market. Another beauty of leasing.
This.
My payments are almost the same. My lease is also up in November, and I am thinking of buying it and then selling it myself. Probably can make around $8-10K if the market stays like this.

wtf, 2 years ago I leased a 52k c300 for 3k down 500/month 3/36k. I just leased a 23k Hyundai Elantra SEL as a daily for 1K down 299/ month 3/30, this market is fucked.

right!? my 2019 440xi was $65k and $0 down 3/36mo 10k mile lease is $449 including tax! Going to have to keep it for sure until the market corrects itself. Buyout is like $35k plus tax, current trade in was $43K according to carmax!

JD,

You'll see my crazy lease deal above on a 440GC. Hard to give it up, but remember there is typically no "equity" in a lease at turn in. so, if you can get $8k, that is not bad, depending how many payments are left obviously.

I wasn't thrilled about paying MSRP for a new 440CV, but I consider my equity (that would never had been there in normal times) as my discount. I was able to talk my dealer into locking my trade value while I wait on production/delivery.

Remember, when the market normalizes, so too will your lease "equity".

Even getting $650 is not happening in this market with $0 down. $450 is crazy in any market outside of not telling the whole story here, which doesn’t help the OP. There are also other factors such as tax laws by state that don’t always make these comparisons the best to go by.

The market has changed significantly in three years, so a lot of these examples are bad comparisons. Interest rates have changed, and inventory is at record lows due to part shortages. There are deals to be had out there by going through a broker. I got 6% off MSRP on a new build and base money factor back in October. I too live in Michigan and wound up purchasing from a dealer in Arizona. You can also buy out your current lease and sell it at a profit to offset the higher price on the new car.

Things appear to be improving a little bit, but who knows when, if ever, things will get back to “normal”. At some point supply shortages will get back to normal, but there’s another issue to worry about, and that’s 40 year record high inflation. If you want a new car, I would be selective and shop around to get the best deal. It may pay off to wait, but you may also end up waiting forever for something that isn’t going to happen, especially if you’re looking for some of these crazy deals people got three years ago.
User a broker and usually order my cars, but he had it on the lot for a long time...

I just talked to a broker on a $63k M340, they're offering 2% off MSRP + loyalty and base MF. Payments are "only" around $830 which is about $100/mo less than my local dealer offered for a similar car. This is with $0 down and about $2k due at signing (including broker fees). My 2018 340i had a $62k MSRP and I'm paying $698/mo

Yeah... thats just... insane. My M3CS lease is 858/m (yes yes, different times and things change and all)

Im looking at an M340i as my next car but at this point im not paying more than my CS for it. Hopefully this insane market dies down soon (or Ill just buy it out)

Same boat here. We have a 2020 M340 that's up in August. Paying $711 in California. Got it at invoice plus rebates. Only 19k on it right now. I would love to step into an X3M but the way things are going and the rates currently make it a hard sell.
