Comfort Access & Ferry Travel
Out walking the dogs this morning, mulling over random crap, I was thinking about all the times we’ve travelled to Europe, Ireland and the Scottish isles with a car.
All my previous cars were simple enough, leaving them with the motion sensor off either by the key fob or an option shown on the driver display. I’ve got a G21 and a G22, only the G22 has comfort access (plus, I think). Easy to find in the menus for motion sensor off or a bit more to it with comfort access? |

When using the Ferry back to the UK I've found that even following the manual and using the double press I still return to find the red link blinking oddly indicating it was triggered.
No idea if the horn was sounding. D.

I’m off to Arran in a couple of weeks, though it’ll be the muttmobile G21 we’ll be taking so not such a long crossing for a test, but we’ll probably start touring Europe again soon, that’ll mostly be in the G22, we usually cross from Newcastle, so overnight |

Sailed last week on a very rough Irish Sea. Locked car using fob and pressed ‘lock’ again within the required 10 seconds - alarm light went constant red for two seconds indicating interior alarm and tilt sensor were disabled (all as per manual quoted above). No evidence of alarm going off when I returned to the car.

Luckily the fob works through a car ferry bulkhead, if anyone was wondering. |
