Stage 1 supporting mods? Stage 2?

Hi all,

I put this thread together to hopefully consolidate some good info for anyone considering moving to Stage 1 or 2 beyond the normal Jb+ or Jb4 mods.

On a G20 running b46/b48 engine…

What supporting mods are required for Stage 1?

What about stage 2?

Im thinking things like an air intake, downpipe, maybe charge pipe? Any important parts or types of parts to include?

There aren't any requirements for a stage 1 tune. I'll let others speak to stage 2 and beyond but stage 1 should not "require" any other supporting mods.

In that case, what are the recommended mod add-ons for Stage 1? As in, the engine is running past the factory settings (boost pressure, etc), so what would be the most beneficial mods for Stage 1 to help with reliability in the longer run?

For stage 2, that's all that's recommended? A catless or high flow catted DP.

There isn't strain on any other parts that should be upgraded to help with reliability?

Upgrading the charge pipe and inlet is always recommended but not mandatory

So it's safe to go stage 1 with burbles on a stock car/exhaust?
