Rear Cam. What is this???

I want to install a rear Dash Cam in my 2021 3301i and started to look for places to run the wires. Can anyone tell me what this thing is in the back center of the deck? Was wondering if it was possible to run wires thru it.

It’s for stowing the rear centre seatbelt if you unhook it.
