Yeah bro just install the correct master and you would be good to go
Also remember to bleed bleed bleed. Need to do it at least 5 times. In my case we used ISTA/DSC activation at first but that still couldn't get the air out. Regular buddy bleed a few times made the pedal feel awesome |

Just wondering if you had it done? I’ve got a US spec 330i (m sport), without the m sport brakes. Just bought a MP brake set, and want to put it on this weekend. Do I need the booster/master cylinder or can I just put it on. I tried to read everything and understand it, but it’s quite confusing! Cheers |

RealOEM shows that there are two different Booster - one for front sliding calipers/330mm rotors (S2NHA=NO), and the other for front 4-piston calipers/348mm rotors (S2NHA=YES). P/N 34336889801 booster is applicable only for the front sliding calipers/330mm rotors brake system (S2NHA=NO). P/N 34336889796 booster is applicable only for M Sport brakes front 4-piston calipers/348mm rotors system (S2NHA=YES). You will know if you need the upgraded booster after you retrofit this kit. |

I’ll be replacing the booster only then, I don’t need the master cylinder right? Since I already have the ‘205. |

I have a 2019 G20 330i (5R13). Had the M Performance kit installed (34-11-2-450-161) without the break booster and now the long break travel plus mushiness/skipping feel is happening.. From reading this thread and looking on realoem it seems to make sense that the master cylinder would not be necessary to replace. I took some pics of my master cylinder to compare with what A172 posted and it looks the same besides a few subtle differences in the engravings: (854137 same)(V27 same) (2/7 vs 0/8) (1'8 vs 2'0). Anyone know if this matters? Sorry for the long message, I'm new to this and hoping to figure it out, would hate to purchase the booster to have it installed and still have the mushy breaks, but also don't want to spend an extra $500 on the master cylinder if it's not needed. Have a US spec 330i sportline (non M sport) that currently has the standard grey calipers. If i wanted to upgrade to the blue m-sport brakes, would i need to upgrade the master cylinder or is that only necessary if i wanted to go to the red m performance brakes? Been reading the thread but still not 100% sure. Thanks!

Based on that, I have install on Friday of the M-Perf kit and Brake Booster (the one with p/n ending in 796). The gist I got was that all US models, regardless of brake set up, have the same Master Cylinder. The BB is the only part that is different between US base brakes-equipped (ending in 801) and US M-Sport/M-Perf-equipped cars (ending in 796). Euro/Asia models have a different Master Cylinder and Brake Booster (not sure the BB p/n) so that is why those market's M-Perf upgrade kits include a MC/BB. US folks would only "need" to upgrade the BB. BUT... BMW doesn't even recommend it because they can still work without needing to change the BB out, as others have alluded to here. It's a "feel" thing I guess, but I spent the extra $475 for the warm and fuzzies. I'll see if it works out. |

Ended up moving install up to Wed. Glad I did because they still have the car. Issue is bleeding the system to make it feel right. Read earlier in the thread that A172 had to bleed bleed bleed in order to get it right.
Anyone else got any insights? Trying to pass on to dealership since they don't perform this overhaul often. |

UPDATE: Forgot abt this... was tracking another thread.
Everything is great! Dealer just had to bleed system a lot, but finally got it right. No issues with brakes. LOVE the way they look. 100% would recommend if you want the look, improved safety, and can justify cost in your eyes. |
