If a car is tuned for a certain RON grade, you are wasting your money putting a higher grade in. I just put normal 95 RON in my M340i as that is what it is tuned to produce most power at. You can put 91 RON in but with a marginal loss of power. 97/98 RON does not, however, increase power.

I use Shell V-Power 98 RON (93 AKI equivalent) exclusively. My discount (roughly 50%) works at Shell or Esso but I go to Shell 99% of the time because they're on every street corner in the NL. LOL
