Service and after market intake

Hello,

Anyone have any experience and input on having taking your car in for normal service or warranty work with an intake installed? I know in the US by law they can't flat out just void anything or deny warranty repairs unless they can prove it as being the cause of a failure but I am not sure if an intake is worth any potential arguments while under warranty

I've got an intake but I don't get it serviced by bmw them selves since it's a little expensive, but my mechanic did say that they wouldn't service the car because of it but for the warranty they could reject fixing not void

the intake is a safe mod as it's the most popular, the dealership won't give you any trouble if you have an intake.

I had the mst intake installed and the dealer never asked or gave me any issues. Even had radiator leak by the thermostat which they fixed with no questions asked.
