microphone not working after adding subwoofer

Hi all,

I just installed a amp/sub combo using the technic PnP harness, but the internal microphone stopped working after (so the voice command does not pick up any voice, neither does siri in apple car play). The sub and sound system otherwise works as it should. Has anyone else encountered this problem before? Wanted to check in before I undo the harness and see if this reverses the issue.

Update: removed harness and reconnected original wiring and the mic started working again . Will be reaching out to technic pnp will be following up

I resolved the issue. feel pretty stupid but hopefully this might help someone else. I added the harness to the top module (RAM i think?) instead of the bottom module (bass boost) in the HK 688 configuration. Didn't realize this bottom module existed becuse you have to remove the plastic tray with the tool kit to be able to visualize it.

Hmm interesting. What sub did you add? And I take it from your last post you have the HK?

Got any pics of the new sub?

It is the JL audio amp/sub combo. Yes I have the HK audio

Hmm interesting, looks good. 12”? How do you like it alongside the 2x8”? Does it complete the sound with the added low end punch?
