Run flat winter tire opinions, what’s best?
Pirelli, blizzaks? The Hakka’s studded/RF aren’t made anymore and the local shop wants overkill for what a discontinued tire is worth IMO.
I live in a decently snowy place, need a dedicated set that works well on ice as well. If anyone has suggestions, I prefer studded. |

I went with the Blizzak WS-90 non run flat and plan to just get the mobility kit.

I love Blizzaks so I was getting them regardless. They are not available in run flat, but honestly that's fine with me because in a snow tire you want a larger sidewall to absorb potholes and other crap on the road in the winter. I'm assuming the non-run flat version will do a better job at that and ride nicer. Once my stock all season run flats wear out I fully intend to switch them to non-run flat too.

I hear ya, with luggage and a kiddo a spare tire is not going to be viable. Runflats would be the best option, which do come in blizzaks. I have always ran studded, the Hakkapelitta's(sp) 9 studded runflat are discontinued, local shop wants way above market for them.. makes no sense, if its d/c how would you replace my tire...
