Tire Recognition question

I just picked up my car from the dealer after getting its winter wheel and tire set on. After I drove away I got the tire not recognized. I set it to auto recognition and things were fine.

My question: Last year it said Winter/All year. Is it better to input manually to make sure it has the right tire?

The best way is to read the QR code off the tire and then have it input to the car. However, I don’t what exactly type of “reader” tool you need or how to input the code to the car. You probably have to go to a BMW dealer.
