BMW charging account

Has anyone used BMW charging account. I have a lot of points to redeem however apparently I need to BMW charging account to redeem it.
I don't like the idea of giving my debit card details even though the subscription is free for 1 year as I've heard some people got charged monthly for the account.
Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks

I had the free for a year deal. They then charged me for two months running.

Told them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.
