Active Autowerke| B58 M340i Catted/ Cattless Downpipe

Active Autowerke is proud to introduce our B58 catted and non catted downpipe available for the B58 G body M340.
We are utilizing a GESI catalytic converter that will pass emissions testing.

ACTIVE AUTOWERKE BMW B58 CATTED DOWNPIPE

The Active Autowerke B58 downpipe for the 340i helps unleash some of the potential that is restricted by the OEM downpipe.

Turbochargers are powered by spent exhaust gases created during the combustion process. The quicker these gases are evacuated, the better. Unfortunately, the factory down pipe in the B58 is quite restrictive, which results in slower exhaust gases and slower turbo spool.

The Active Autowerke G20 B58 Signature down pipe utilizes 4.5” diameter stainless steel piping in order to provide more power, quicker spool, and extreme durability. It then tapers down to 3.5" where we've incorporated a stainless flex joint and then down to 80mm to meet the OEM exhaust system. We never drop the diameter to smaller than the stock diameter of 80mm.

This variant includes a 4.5" high flow GESI catalytic converter that will NOT produce a CEL! GESI has stamped N/GBL/4389/1119 on these cats as required by the EPA. The number represents the following: N (New) GBL: GESI’s Manufacturer Code / 4389 is the part number registered with the EPA / 1119: Manufacturing Month and Year. GESI can correctly claim that this specific technology has met test protocol 40CFR86, and has been verified by a third party laboratory, and most importantly has been registered with the EPA.

FEATURES:
  • No CEL when using this downpipe
  • GESI EPA approved high flow and fully OBD2 compliant
  • Casted upper V-Band for precise fitment
  • 4.50" diameter piping allows for maximum power output
  • Casted flange for precision fitment
  • Quicker turbo spool
  • Rated for 500 to 850 hp applications
  • Withstands up to 1500° F
  • Can reach operational efficiency within 9 seconds of startup
  • Easily bolts-on – no cutting or welding required
  • Durable construction from TIG welded 304 stainless steel
  • Precise fitment
  • Made in Miami, Florida

Active Autowerke B58 Cattless Variant

  • Quicker turbo spool
  • Easily bolts-on – no cutting or welding required

Compared to the VRSF Downpipe the AA pipe looks thicker for longer (=P) proximally to distally. Not sure if that means anything or not, but looks legit.

We took a lot of time designing and casting the flange for maximum flow. I appreciate the kind words

I recently purchased this downpipe for my G20 M340 but does the B58 AA catted downpipe for the F chassis fit on the G20 as well?

Not 100% sure what you are asking but, I think you are wondering if you can use stage 2 tuning with our downpipe? If so the answer is YES!

The downpipe you posted is just a cheap high flow cat. It will not stop your check engine light from coming on or pass any sniffer tests. Hence the price difference.

No wont emit any more smell than it did with the factory downpipe. While it is Epa approved it is not Carb approved so its not technically legal in California.

I can attest, I have the AA catted dp installed and it's a great piece. No smell, No CEL. In sport mode the car does get a bit louder, in comfort and eco pro still quiet. Bit more burble and pops are more prominent. I would definitely recommend.
