What prices are you being quoted for an M340i?

How did everyone do on their M340i price?

I was offered invoice minus $2000 loyalty, minus $1000 lease incentive. Essentially, $3000 below invoice.

And how much did they say the invoice price was?

just ask for the vehicle inquiry report with wholesale on it... takes the whole "trust" or "they said" element out of the discussion when it is there in black and white

Wow. Seattle BMW wanted MSRP minus $250 for employer discount and Bellevue agreed to Invoice + 2.5%.

Both offered the $2k finance discount, which I am now working with the rep to get updated to reflect the additional $1k I heard is available for April.

Were you able to combine both the lease/finance incentives & corporate discount ?

Not exactly. Corp discount was subsumed by the 2.5% over invoice price. The good news is that my CA just confirmed that I was eligible for the additional $1k April finance incentive. I plan on taking the financing at 3.99% for $10k of the price (the min amount) and paying it off entirely without penalty in 4 months (the min duration).

It seems like most are getting at least 5% below MSRP. My understanding is the invoice estimate is about 6% below MSRP. So to pay 2.5% above invoice would put you at a higher price than what most folks have been getting.

Be careful. My SA said the 2K finance discount could not be combined with the $1K lease discount. Said they would only do one or the other. After I threatened to walk, the Sales Manager agreed to combine both deals. I essentially got 3K below invoice.

With a discount and 3K in incentives I got 11.5% below MSRP.

Mine confirmed in email that I could get both and promised a new price sheet in my inbox this coming week.

Tell me about it.

That's the pitfall of living in the Seattle area. Luxury vehicle prices here are annoyingly high with many well paid clueless folks happily forking out MSRP. I checked out an Audi S4 at one point and there was zero wiggle room there beyond the formal corp discount ($1k off MSRP).

Dealership that has had my business since 2003 just told me that they can't do invoice on the M340i, because it's a car that no one has even seen yet, so how can they give me invoice!

Anyone have any connections around NYC that's willing to work with me on an M340i? My dealer is willing to work with me on a 330i but I don't want that.

Will do. I'll be making phone calls on Monday.

Didn't want to name the dealership because they haven't given me a final number yet but whatever - BMW Bayside is there dealership.

I'll call a few others like Mamaroneck and Rallye, but we'll see. Tough getting a good discount on a car when you've never given a dealership any business..

I was having the same issue. I’m a BMW customer 27 years. Last 6 years with same dealer. Unfortunately my sales associate retired. So the new shark salesman was giving me sucker prices. He would not give me straight answers on the M340 XDrive and would not order me a car. It was infuriating. So I began calling around and every dealer in North Jersey was price gouging. I called BMWNA several times and complained. Pretty much daily the week before I ordered my car. I pay $520 for for a loaded 335 XDrive MSPort with 15k miles. Now they want $799. Yeah ok. I told NA I was being priced out of the market. I also said no salesman can convince me to pay $799 for a 3 series just because they put an M next to the 3.

After all the gouging I found a nice dealer. BMW of Freehold. The internet manager was amazing. She understood I was an expert and not to play car sales games with me. I bought a car with a phone call and two emails. That was Monday. Boom my car will be completed this coming Wednesday. I did very well with pricing with this dealer. However I qualified for $3250 in incentives.

Thank you for the information! Would you mind sharing what your numbers were at the end? How much are you paying monthly and how much are you paying out the door? Cheers brother

I'm going to have to reach out to them. My parents have been leasing BMWs non-stop for 25 years and now I'm in the game (just graduated college) and I too apply for every single incentive except corporate. I still get "laughed" out of most dealerships (and I currently lease a BMW). It could be my age but I don't know, and definitely don't care. This is NJ, BMW dealerships are not exactly few and far between. There will be a dealership that eventually realizes that I'm serious and will take my money. Let's see if Freehold is such a dealership.
