New Recall (Defect Code 0066540100)

Hi,

Does anyone have any detail on what this defect is? Just noticed it appeared in the recall site when entering my VIN number.

What made you check in the first place?
Apart from Whirlpool I can't find any other references to this..

Just checked MyBMW App and I do not see this recall for my car.
I would have thought the radar sensor would have been the same on both the 330 and M340……..

I came to know about the recall from a FB group that I'm part of. Apparently its for 2021 built G20s. Got this link to check if your car is impacted.

I used the URL to send a request to the dealership and they called me today to book it in.

Yes, that's where I checked for any recalls. Doesn't effect my 2019 build .

Rahul - Any good FB G20 groups that you can recommend?

I have called the dealer about this and they said it needed a "software update" which can't be done OTA. They said I can still drive the car normally.

Any more specific information would be appreciated!

Hi texter you can join the BMW G20 Owners Group, Australia. Search with that exact title - should come up

Yep, that's the one: "BMW G20 Owners Group, Australia". Pretty useful with posts relevant to the G20 models.

My car is booked in for the 21st Sept as that was the earliest available slot. So I asked if its safe to drive the car until then, they replied its fine so I didn't think too much of it.
