Would love to hear some user feedback as well, but being there hasn't been a single user review on the B58 flash, its highly unlikely we will see anything here for a while, if at all. Maybe i'll bite the bullet and take the 2 hr trip to visit Dinan

@Dinan_Engineering I realize there are a lot of variable that go into 0-60 runs but any chance your team tested the 0-60 on the 330 after your flash? Curious what kind of improvements we can expect.

+100

Or a before and after 0-60/quarter mile would do too Same road, similar conditions would be perfect.

Don't bother with 0-60 measurements. Never have -- just too many uncontrolled variables in it to make it a worthwhile and repeatable measurement.

I don't recall the car ever going to the drag strip as its been largely closed down the past year but perhaps the calibrators did some simulated 1/4 mile on the dyno or some dragy measurements on a back road somewhere during development. Inquiring...

Dinan_Engineering Dragy numbers would be perfect. I'd love a flash tune of I buy my car post lease and I'm glad there's another option out there

If you could provide the Dragy or Dyno numbers it would be greatly appreciated.

I see that this is quoted only for MY 2019 and 2020. Any plans to release it for 2018? If I'm not mistaken, the G01 X3 has the same engine as the 19 and 20 MYs.

2018 G01 X3 30i is supported. Original post edited. 530i year range was off as well. I'm guessing I was so focused on tayloring the release to the 330i application list I just went right over both of those

We'd love to hear what you think of the tune. And hopefully you or someone you know has a dragy or you take your car to the drag strip for some numbers with the tune on

@Dinan_Engineering I saw on Instagram today that the last gen B58 flash is now available via a DIY OBD tool. Is it simply a matter of time until the G20 flashes are available via OBD as well or is the new DME making that method difficult?

The goal is ultimately to have some sort of handheld for all applications but the existing one that was just released for the prior gen B58 would not work for the newest G chassis cars as the unlocking method is not applicable. This would also result in file handling being different in the device itself so there is a fair amount of work before we get to that point. Regardless, the first step is just a non-bench flash. Once that is resolved then the delivery vehicle (handheld in this case) can be worked on.

Well my warranty expires in about 2 years. Make it happen by then.

Decided against it. It wasn't going to be as seamless as I thought. It doesn't seem like Dinan and its dealers are on the same page. Plus, when I found out that my tune could be flashed over by my BMW dealer whenever I was in for service and I would need to ship it back to Dinan again, it seemed to be too much of a hassle

The tune being flashed over isn't just a Dinan thing, right? It happens to all flashes?
