M340xi has arrived!
Did not anticipate buying an M340xi this year but during IDA our 2014 335xi M-Sport in Estoril Blue was flooded out. The 335 was the car we did everything in, and it was really disappointing that it was totaled out. I've got an F82 M4 and an G80 M3 on order that keeps getting its production date pushed. Initially, I was just thinking of going with a 2018 340xi to as our replacement but after looking at a couple and seeing how crazy the car market is these days, we looked for a new G20. I was not going to wait for something to be built as I've been seeing the production slips with the G80. After calling all the dealers I could in PA, NJ, and CT it seemed like we were going to have to settle and just get whatever would be coming into a dealership soon. On a whim I called up Bill Jacobs in Chicago to see if they would be willing to do a virtual deal and ship the car. To my suprise unlike the dealers around me who were all pretty much without inventory and only wanting to take a few hundred off MSRP I was able to land a pretty nice deal on the car below and get it shipped to me in an enclosed trailer. Everything took about a week to handle and tonight the car arrived!
Here's the build: 2022 M340xi C31 Portimao Blue Metallic MANL Black Vernasca Leather with Blue Contrast stitching ZDA Driving Assistance Package ZDY Driving Assistance Professional Package ZHO Shadowline Package ZPK Parking Assistance Package ZPP Premium Package w/ Front and Rear Heated Seats 1CR Remote Engine Start 1PX 792M RFT All-Seasons 2VF Adaptive M Suspension 316 Power tailgate 4AW SensaTec Dashboard 5AZ Icon Adaptive LED Headlights with Laserlight 688 Harman Kardon surround sound system Z62 Wheel Locks ZJ5 BMW First Aid Kit I ordered the 898M staggered rims with PS4S tires and the 792M's will become the winter set. I plan to put the 898M's on tomorrow and snap some pics. Paint correction, PPF, Ceramic and Tint is scheduled in a week. I'm honestly beyond impressed with the vehicle. Seems like it's going to take awhile to learn all the tech. Very much so feel like I lucked out with the build getting the ZPK package which was removed for 22 and literally all the options. Would have loved to have the track and cooling package but no dealer in their right mind would have speced that. Anyways more to come. |

Awesome, congrats! 898s look fantastic! I'm in SE PA also, and you sure are right, tough time to buy a car. I heard BMW of For Washington (f/k/a West German BMW) got completely flooded in Ida and they lost a ton of inventory and customer cars - sounds like your creativity paid off! You will love the car - the only thing missing is a manual transmission!

Misread your post initially. We have an F82 M4 currently and we had a 335 that got flooded. Picked up the M340xi to replace the flooded 335. And at the same time I've got a G80 M3 on order since July that was scheduled for week 35 build but has now been shifted to week 43. Might end up selling the M4 when the M3 comes in have not decided yet. I really like having a coupe around.
