I'm trying to retrofit an OEM Wireless Charging Pad. Due to the pandemic there has been numerous supply issues and as a result the NFC / Wireless Charging Pad plus Digital Key were deleted from the build leaving nothing but a storage tray.

I was looking to order the Charging Device - BMW (84-10-5-A0E-550). My concern is that I may not have the right connections. I took apart everything today to see the wiring. I basically have 2 sets of wires, the connection to the USB and the connection to the 12v power. I assume the 12v power connection is what I need except it doesn't look like that connection is what I need to connect to the wireless charging pad.

Anyone who has installed the pad, can they recall if the connection is similar to the photos below.

These attachments might help a little. I did have a picture of the connection point somewhere but can't find it. Think I got it from NewTis but can't get into NewTis anymore. Anyway the connection point was further towards the rear of the car, roughly where the gear stuff and the armrest meet, at the side. Never seen in real life, only the rather poor diagram from newtis.
Anyway finding the connecting cable seems impossible. But if you found the connecting point then a bit of splicing or soldering might work. Or you CAN get the connectors on ebay to make your own.

@hottroc appreciate your help. At this point I'll try an aftermarket product. It's relatively inexpensive so it's worth a shot. If not, I'll see if my BMW head office contacts can do something. I just don't want a $200 credit to go to an unrealistic amount.

So I ended up putting in this aftermarket one and it charges. Pretty easy install. I coded the wireless charging reminder but it doesn't work…didn't think it would as the only connection was coming off the 12V power.

eBay, $60 USD. Easy plug in to the 12v.
