G20 tire replacement
Based on ratings, reviews, and driving conditions my decision is to stay with continentals performance tires or get michelin pilot sport 4s. Also wondering whether to stay with the SSR(Self Supporting Run-flats) that came with the car originally or go with non runflats... let the polling begin, reasons to why one over the other is appreciated aswel. TIA 1. Continental Contisportcontact 5 SSR (run flats) 2. Continental Extreme Contact Sport (Non-RF) 3. Michelin Pilot Sport 4s |

+1 non run-flat
Reason: Why compromise the handling/performance and ride/comfort everyday for something that statistically is unlikely to occur. Not all punctures require a run-flat... I've had 2 punctures (not this car) and both times it was a nail in the tire, they were slow punctures and I was able to use a 12v compressor to get me home and to a garage. Also a garage is very unlikely to repair a run-flat so you'd be buying a new tire (both of mine were repairable) +1 Michelin PS4S can't speak for the Conti, but the PS4S is excellent! Loads of grip and handles well, also a lot more comfortable than the previous Goodyear RFs Last edited by GusL; 09-25-2021 at 11:23 AM.. |
