For those of you that have tracked your cars and took delivery at the Performance Center......what did the site say right before delivery?.....I take delivery in 2 weeks and mine has gone back to... "At the Port" despite Genius telling me that the car has been delivered to the VPC at the Performance Center.

Shouldn't it say..."At the Dealership" ?

Picking my car up from PDC tomorrow and it said at dealership but it took a bit of time to actually say that. I seem to remember that it said "at the port" for a while. Once it's been confirmed by PDC with your dealer that the car is ready for pickup, I wouldn't fret about it.

When did you select the PDC delivery option? I placed order without asking for that, the car should be in production soon but am wondering if I could change my mind and request it's delivered to PDC. Also, anyone recently picked up car from the South California PDC (Thermal, CA)? thanks

Call your SA ......I opted when I ordered in July because I missed it last year when I bought my M340 because they shut down due to covid.....not sure whether they do it in California?.....

You have to opt for it before it gets to the port due to the way they load the ship ....my 340 got loaded before they canceled PDC and so they didn't get it off the boat at the first stop here in Baltimore but shipped it to Charleston and then trucked it back north to my dealership.....

dyslexic typing......PCD was canceled not my park distance control......ha

Also.....MyBMW now says At the Dealership as of 9-24...I fly down a week from tomorrow....

PDC= Park Distance Control
PCD= Performance Center Delivery.

PCD is currently only available in SC. Thermal in CA does not do deliveries.

As for tracking the vehicle, it shows at the port when it arrives to the US and goes through the VPC. I wouldn't worry about it, it's usually a few days behind anyway. Enjoy your delivery day, it's a blast!

I have requested Performance Center Delivery, when I placed my 430i order, the status is currently showing as "in Transit" and according to BMW Genius, my car is on the ship and will expected to be at the SC port on 9/29 and they confirmed that the car is to be delivered to PCD. Does the dealer call you to schedule a date for pickup from PCD or do I have to contact the PCD to schedule a pickup date?

Dealership will call you. I only got about two weeks notice.

I would call dealership now......my PCD was accepted in July when I ordered and my delivery date next week was scheduled back in August when the car reached the port in Germany for shipping....

I reached out to dealer, they just informed me that there is a stop sale on my car, until VPC fixes the issue. They will not schedule PCD until that is resolved. So looks like, I will be waiting....

Yes, the dealer just informed me its due to shortage of RAM modules (Receiver Audio Module).
