Car graphic on dash/screen

Hey all,
I was wondering whether the car graphic on the infotainment and dash screens should mirror your real car e.g. colour, alloy style and the m340 grill, as per factory build.
My car is mistral grey and the graphic shows a grey m340, but without the correct alloys or specific grill.
I nearly got a M135i and I read that those graphics match exactly the factory build, hence why I’m querying it.
Anyway, had the car now 4 days and all I can say is “WOW”
M340i xdrive, mistral grey with comfort pack.

I think my previous tanzanite blue with black wheels and m sport plus looked exactly right, my current black one matches but doesn't have the all black grill, considering the first one is much rarer I found it a bit odd my current one didn't match!!

Still, first world problems!!😄

Just checked the my BMW app and that matches exactly, so god know why the car graphic doesn't!?

Yeah, the mybmw app matches the car exactly, but not he dash in the car.
I agree it is first world problems 🤣 but would have been a nice touch.

No because when the car left the factory the dealer added the 20" wheels, carbon pack so my app and dashboard looks totally different

It’s not just dealer fit items. Mine has a pano sunroof which is factory fit but isn’t shown in the onboard render.

I may be mis-remembering but seem to think my graphic started to look exactly like the car after a software update.

I bought mine at 6 months old and the picture was the exact same spec as the car .
When I did a hard reset due to the constant requests to log in , the picture then changed to the base 3 series touring and not a m340i .
Had the dealer take a look when in for another issue and was politely told its the right colour car sir - after complaining the master tech had a look apparently and gave me more bull.
Hoping the next software update may get it back - its only minor but still bugs me

Funny enough, I have standard m sport G20 with 18'' alloys but picture shows 19'' alloys and black front grill on i-drive screen and speed cluster.

Thought about this thread when I finished work yesterday and decided to have a look, hadn’t paid any real attention to the graphic. Sure enough, it was the near exact picture of my poverty spec G21 M Sport, even down to the chrome around the grille. Only discerning difference was the German style number plate
