Vehicle no longer has build week

Contacted the bmw genius again today and was told my order doesn't have a build date assigned any longer. Last week and all previous weeks for the past month have had the build date of wc 18th Oct but today the Genius said this was blank. Anyone else had this before? Could it be a glitch or does it mean I'm getting pushed back?

Sorry to hear that. The computer chip shortage and supply chain issues are really impacting manufacturing. Know one knows when it’s going to be better. I notice last night that SiruisXM and HD options were listed as credits on the build configuration meaning not available now.

Yes I know the parts shortages are affecting things but my confirmed order had a build week of 18th Oct as recently as Monday but today this has vanished, just want to know if anyone else has had this happen

It's happened to many vehicles, not just the 2 series. A month ago, most of the 5 series (including the M5 CS) went to no confirmed build week (status 105) and then back to 111/112 with a build week pushed out a month. Not uncommon in this time.

Check with your SA because they’re the only ones who can tell you why your build is blocked. From recent posts it’s because some package is unavailable (varies by model).

Thanks all, will check with dealer, I knew an allocated build slot was too good to be true, hopefully it's nothing important holding it up

Mine had no build week as of 9/15 (found out on 9/24) but today it's now "Scheduled for Production". Trying to get more info from BMW Genius.

Spoke to dealer Friday, assured me the system still has me down for build week of 18th Oct so for now all good. Delivery week should be Nov 8th all being well

I would expect delays. November 8th is optimistic with a build week of October 18th. My car was finished with build on August 24th and I still don't have it. Lots of issues with chip shortages and shipping.

Arrived at port in Brunswick last Thursday. Currently waiting to go through VPC. Hoping to get it by end of this month.
