hi all, thought i would say hi, been reading posts for the last few days and found some useful information. picked up my new 330e in Portimao Blue yesterday and absolutely amazed by it. was previously driving Range Rover Evoque, can 100% say BMW made me fall in love with it! still learning new things and will welcome any tips from advanced users!
ps haven't seen any females on this forum as of yet, feels like I'm the only one so far

Very nice. I had a 330e Msport in Portimao Blue for 9 months (company car) until I was made redundant.

I absolutely loved the car, it was fast, fugal and fun to drive.

I’d have another which says it all.

Welcome.
Looks great with the light interior.
If you list your spec sheet, we might be able to point you in the right direction towards features.

Tip number 1. ECO pro. Just no. Real world benefit is just so minimal it's not worth the crappy throttle response.
Tip 2. If you are new to bmw, the 8 short cut buttons are awesome. Perform a function then press and hold a button. Radio station. Spotify. Phone home. Navigate to work. Whatever.

Thanks for your tips.
It's 330e M Sport with Comfort Plus Pack, Oyster leather...
today I tried charging it with granny cable and in 4 hours I only got to 50% (this was at 6A), I suppose I need to change a setting to a higher number like 10-13A? How do I do it?

I leave mine set to 16A permenantly. Using the supplied granny cable (well, an equivilent with an actual usable length of cable), it takes about 4.5 to 5 hours to fully charge from flat.

Its configured in the iDrive settings.
Car -> Plan charg./climate -> Settings -> AC Settings -> Current Limit

btw. make sure you know how pre-climatisation works - best feature ever, now the mornings are getting a bit chilly.

No worries. A quick question for you actually...

When you get a few minutes, can I please trouble you to see if your 330e was supplied with a towing eye (under the floor of the left hand storage pocket in boot) ?

I have a long-running, still to be concluded, battle with BMW UK/dealer.

Make sure you get the My BMW app if you haven't already, lets you set departure times to pre warm/condition the car, nothing better in the winter!😁

My tip would be that voice commands work surprisingly well. Good for keeping your eyes on the road.

Isn’t it the xdrive 330e that doesn’t get the towing eye?

I don't know. BMW UK, my local dealer, Genius and BMW Emergency Assist are all unable to answer whether it should be supplied, what the procedure is for moving the car if disabled or how to load it onto a flat bed recovery truck without one.

So far the best they've been able to offer is "don't worry about it whilst it's under warranty and then take out extended warranty with BMW after that"

I always assumed it was because of the electric motor, as was originally told that the 330e should never be towed. Maybe it's an xdrive thing?
