This can’t be simply coded. There are hardware differences (i.e. require changing to a M car instrument cluster such as an M3’s)
M340 is not an M car and does not have the required hardware for M view in the hud. |

Well the guy who originally posted this was able to do it in a M340i if I'm not mistaken...

Maybe OP can clarify? If it is just coding the cluster to the M layout then yes it is doable on the M340. |

Has anyone other than OP been successful in coding the HUD tachometer with the m gauge clusters yet? I've been looking around for awhile and am starting to lose hope .

Hi everyone,
I was trying to code the M_HUD from the x3 thread. I make every step like the sinbad4 but without success. Is there any difference between x3 and m340i in the headunit and instrument cluster expert coding ? |

Found this for HUD but did not work for me with Bimmercode. Theoretically it should work because with Normal M340i displays it shows RPMS+ Shift Lights but disappears when coded to M displays all up to coding. As long as you have HU_MGU module people have been able to code it looks like just seems no one wants to break it down or release it.
