On 10/9/2021 you posted "No no paperwork was signed, no deposit put down yet." Now just 4 days later you're saying your car is in production. That's just not credible by any standard.

Not butthurt- just trying to figure out how anyone goes from order to production in 2 days. Was this a car the dealer had already previously ordered? If so, that would explain it. But if this was a new, custom order submitted to BMW just 2 days ago, there's no way it would be in production. It would be a couple months, not a couple days.

I dont know what to tell you Springer, I dont concern myself with the inner workings of the dealerships. Im there to buy a car, not understand the intricacies of the ordering process. My salesman told me he had an allocation, I gave him my build sheet, and the rest is history, or at least littered about the site for you to examine. Any other questions?

Good for you! But that's not typical, and I was just trying to figure it out. There's no need for you to be an ass about it. Clearly, yours is a car that was already ordered months ago by the dealer. maybe that was an allocation from someoneelse who cancelled and the allocation could have been almost ready to go in production.. thats the only possible way that happens so fast...

i ordered 7/19 and car went into production 2 or 3 weeks later...

For me mine was also in prod queue within 5 days from deposit/ signature. 🤷🏼*♂️

Two months after placing my order, delayed from week 37 to 42 it finally went into production today!! Checked every option is still there so I'm hoping everything is smooth sailing from here

You must be more special than me. My m340i also went from week 37 to 42 and I've been expecting it to get into production this week. I called genius line this morning and I've been moved to week 43. Happy for you! Grumpy for me. 😡

I ordered G23 9/16 and confirmed build week was week 40. Two weeks later it changed to week 43 and all of sudden status was changed to "order received" yesterday. And it ended up coming back to "production scheduled" and build week is changed to week 44. I also noticed that UHD was removed from my original order. It is annoying.

That's not true. I ordered mine on a Friday and it was in production on a Monday. What they did with my situation is they swapped out a build they had sent in and replaced it with mine right before it went into production. I essentially had my order put in instantly moving to production... that is not how it went for my M340i, however.

Same thing happened to me today. My dealer alerted me that they swapped a build and lo and behold, I'm scheduled for production. I placed my deposit and forwarded my build to them late last week, at which point I was told I *might* get an allocation in November.

That said, I'm not getting too excited yet as delays seem to be the norm.
