Frozen fuel gauge

Hi all, basically my gas mileage for the tank is frozen. No matter what the fuel level is at, the fuel mileage remains the same number. For example, I had a quarter tank left and it said 65 miles. After refueling and topping off the tank completely, it shows full with the arrow but the digital number remains at 65 miles. Some troubleshoots I attempted was turn car on and off multiple times, I also tried coding the instrument cluster display to reset the screen. It reset it to a new number but as I drive it is still frozen, doesn't go up or down. I also coded to original settings but the digital number is still frozen. I also tried holding onto the power button on idrive to reset display and no luck. Car is tuned and I am trying to avoid taking it in for service. Any help is greatly appreciated.
