G20 2 or 3 Piece Strut Brace

Has anyone found a 3 piece strut brace for the g20? I've been searching around and found this one from KC Design and a small thread about it. Would a 2 piece one like dinan/bms be good enough? Rigidity of a 3 piece sounds better just don't like how the KC one is the o ly available one / not a lot of reviews.

That looks like a 4 piece.

I think it has the option of going 4 piece if you buy this
https://www.tw-kcdesign.com/products_detail/47

But that first link is just the 2 angled braces and that flat horizontal one.

I guess my question was am I over thinking wanting a 3 point brace or is something like dinan/BMS 2 point brace good enough?

yes but only if they're stiffer than the car. they look like they will bend with a teenager sitting on it.

This alone should be enough!

You talking about the KC design or the current 2 pieces out there?

I'm talking about the link provided where it shows 3 or 4 pieces of metal and at the bottom it says weight 1.3kg

4 pieces of metal weighing 1.3kg isn't going to stop the front of the car from twisting.

but i'm not sure i have not load tested the metals. but if they are stiffer than your car already is, then it will work. if not, you are just adding dead weight for no benefit.

Take a look at the below. CPM makes one of the best strut braces on the market.

Does the CPM come with the nuts and bolts?
Also does the front horizontal brace do anything?

I'll let you know, I'm sure it comes with some bolts for that price. I ordered the front brace, arriving in about 2 weeks.

Installed them today, took maybe 30 min at the most. Lay out the bars, jack up one corner & start the bolts, lowe & do the same for the other side. Then do the middle bolts.

I mis read the torque spec and snapped the two middle bolts surprisingly... I didn't even think it was that much, but picked up 2 grade 8.8 bolts to replace them.

How is the fit and finish?

Fit was good, everything lined up perfectly. Haven't had time to go out for a drive & test it yet, but will do this weekend. I like how the brand name isn't as in your face as Dinan's. I ordered from their amazon store and came earlier than expected. Took about 7 business days.

I don't like that the radiator shroud is silver, but I also don't want to buy a carbon fiber shroud lol. Black underneath would make it pop more.

What does the horizontal piece actually do?
Is the install the same as all others with nut and bolt?

True, but the CF shroud is very nice! I’ll be purchasing both the shroud and brace here soon. Let me know how your test drive goes!

Horizontal piece is probably just some extra support, I think it would probably be better if it was over the motor between the two struts like how the M3 has it, but oh well. How it compares to Dinan or BMS, who knows lol.

The install is the same as others, bolt through the hole on the top of the strut tower & on the radiator area.

That company has a 4 piece one with a longer horizontal piece that goes over top of the engine from one shock tower to the other.

Do you have a link? The only piece by cpm for g20 I can find is the one posted earlier. Too late now anyway haha, but could help someone else.

Sorry was thinking of the KC Design one linked up higher. There is a 4 piece option. Or a single over engine horizontal bar.
