Very true very true. I’ve just never seen it stuck in Quality Check for so long and it doesn’t seem like a very good place to get stuck! I mean, a 3 day Quality Check? That’s scary. Also, my SA is the sales manager, so that’s that.

Mine was stuck in Quality Check for a whole week. It will arrive at port Hueneme tomorrow in stop sale status waiting for the receiver audio module. I guess due to the part shortage everything is not normal now.

STILL has no production week assigned to this day. No one knows a damn thing, or won't say.

The last word is, the factory is waiting for a production slot. I had an allocation from the day I ordered on 8/9.

Your message is hilarious, unfortunately the clustermess is true! Website and Genius line are down this morning. It’s a mess at BMW and then I was reading a story about how backed up the ports are. I’m just not optimistic about the coming weeks/month(s).

Happy for you. I’ve been in Quality Check since Monday. Nothing from Genius and SA acts like everything is fine. I haven’t seen any other production timelines on here where anybody sat in Quality Check for a week, so I’m uncomfortable. I guess I just have to wait.

Bought a PS5 to soothe my sorrows and pass the time….have to wait 3 weeks for that too!!! 😂

You could be the exception....

2) In my personal case. I have 2 options. SA assured me week 45 will be the build week, and it will not get further delayed. BMWUSA confirmed.
If all goes well, I should take deliver early to mid December.

I could also, now drop the adaptive suspension, and SA said I'd likely go into production as early as next week. Yeah, I know, grain of salt.
Delivery estimated 3rd week in October. I'm not in any real rush, as I have a car, that I'll trade in.
It's also possible, although no guarantee, that the incentives could be better in December.
SA is also working on keeping the current finance rate at .9 through delivery for all the delays, and inconvenience.

So, get the car sooner without adaptive? Or, wait it out and get adaptive. I'm buying, and I keep my cars for at least 6 years.

I've read all the threads about adaptive vs. standard set up. Most think adaptive is the way to go, especially for such an inexpensive option.

Thing is, I test drove the car 4 times, all non-adaptive and it felt great to me. Will I not miss what I don't know?

I'm on the fence. Thoughts and opinions welcome. Thanks

What does adaptive suspension actually do? I'm a newb if you cant tell lol. Is there a YouTube video that explains it in depth? Thanks for the help!

Woke up to “Awaiting Carrier Assignment.” So between Friday and Saturday in Germany I went from Quality Check, Final Assembly, Ready for Transport, and now at Awaiting…Hey, I don’t usually see movement on the weekends so I’ll take it. I think it’s possible the site was backed up this week.

I talked to my rep and the car is currently on the Hawaiian Highway. maybe same ship as @grantj1983?? It was great news after not hearing anything for about a month... until I got a message from the rep/performance center. There is a stop sale on the car so they are unable to schedule delivery until stop sale is removed. Rear view camera and sensors is the only info I got. Its a 2022 M440 xDrive just for reference...I got the Drivers Asst. Pro package which requires extra sensors is what I imagine?

So here we are, the waiting game continues... I think this one may suck a little more to be honest. Dealer told me there was a stop sale on another 2022 that lasted 45 days or so back in August before I ordered and there is no way to track the progress until its done. Bummer.

I have another thread going about this as well. I'm also on the Hawaiian Highway due to arrive at Baltimore on 10/16.

When I called Genius Hotline about a week ago they mentioned something about an audio module as well but nothing else. When I told them I didn't get the HK for the reason that I didn't want the car delayed they didn't say anything else. But now reading these posts I think I may be on the same boat as you guys and this may affect the regular stereo as well as the upgraded HK.

Or maybe not and somebody can supply further info on this and if it's only with the HK or the regular stereo as well. That would really suck. Just when you think you're at the end of this waiting game something else happens.

Still don't understand why BMW can't still ship it to the dealer and they can deliver the car and when the parts arrive I'll take it in.
