So took the delivery of my 330i xDrive today. I ordered the car with the space saver with the intension to go with aftermarket non-run-flats since this is my daily. I assumed the saver will be inside the usual wheel-well in the trunk...but the reality is quite the opposite haha. The battery sits in the wheel-well and there's a staged compartment thingy for the space saver, which is consuming almost 50% of the trunk space, over that.

I want to dump this thing out and regain the lost trunk space. So my question is do I need some other part or "retrofit kit" to place over the battery to have the flat trunk like a normal car?

I don't have the spare tire kit, and it's just a trunk floor cover above the battery. Here's the part number trunk floor cover: 51477438290

I had to get mine from the dealer. The shipping cost was crazy from online sources. The available trunk space was rediculous with that spare in place. Trying to sell those pannels now on FB Marketplace - so far no interest.

Thanks! Ordered the part with BMW mobility kit - I was able to check out another 330 without space saver at the dealership prior to placing the order.

Haha yeah selling these would be really tough because no one would want to loose their trunk space. Ordered mine through dealer too, just because, in case, if there's a fit issue, return or replacement would be much easier/convenient.
