No mention of the lumbar support but he did mention BMW may remove options from the build once the order is online depending on the parts status. At this point - I think it may be beneficial to wait 4-5 months if youre not in a rush and then place the order. I think the parts shortage is getting better so by new year's you should be able to get every feature your ordered. I decided to wait anyhow.
Good luck with that. Every indication is that the shortages are expected to continue well into 2022, so you may have a long wait. I've read that the wireless charger is not very good, so even if it were available, an after market charger might be a better option.

I agree. Parts shortage seems to be getting worse not better as evidenced by options being removed and long wait times.

This whole situation is screwed up. I’m at the point where I will probably be better off buying horse and buggy, but I’m afraid the horse will be missing hooves or something because parts shortage.

Oh wow, really? I thought the parts shortage was getting under control not getting worse. But if thats the case then I may just suck it up and place the order.

I really dont want to be losing options on a custom build. I have a wireless charger on my wife's X and it works pretty well for a top up charge but it definitely isent the preferred option when your phone is at 0%

Asked about the current options for a new custom order and found out adaptive suspension is no longer available, and parking assist package can't be added either.

What model? Options have been getting removed from 330i and below while still available for m340i and up.

Ouch! My m340ix is scheduled for production next week, and thus far the adaptive suspension option has not been removed.

When my friend ordered his M3 he was able to add the parking assistance package (not available online in the builder) through the dealership's system, im not sure if this is still possible for m340s.

I was able to order a G26 M440i GC with adaptive M suspension.. wonder if that will get removed. Car is in production at the moment.

I’m scared to find out how bumpy the ride will be given 19” wheels lol

I have been checking with multiple dealers in my area and they have said the parking assistance package cannot be added to any new m340 builds.

That's unfortunate, I think both adaptive suspension and parking assistance are important to me, might look into existing ones or the incoming cars instead

anyone has any idea when these options would be back available again? im leaning towards holding off ordering the car unless i can opt in the adaptive suspension and parking assist.

Pat Gelsinger, the chief executive of Intel, the U.S.'s largest chip maker, has said he expects shortages to last into 2023. Others say it could last through the end of that year.

Semiconductor shortage that has hobbled manufacturing worldwide is getting worse

You realize that the laser lights are only for high-beam? Do you really need that?

i really prefer the look of the laserlight DRLs, but i also think adaptive suspension might be more worthy though. maybe the laserlight can be something to be retrofitted

I agree about the adaptive suspension. Are you sure you can't find a dealer with an allocation to which it can be added?

it appears to me after reading the above posts & few others online. BMW is using the limited parts on the M cars first and not the base vehicles. This goes for all BMW models, not just 3 & 4 Series

Just got confirmation from my SA that Parking Assistance Plus package is blocking my build. Theoretically they said it may take few weeks for it to be available but there are no guarantees. I dropped the package and moved forward with the modified build, hopefully no more changes. Should have the new build date in the next day or two.

This is a 22 M440 xDrive vert, with Harman Kardon and Adaptive M suspension.
