Sales tax on autos in NC is only 3%.....therefore $800 is about right for the tax on the net amount...

Here's why:
Effective October 1st, 2014, Dealer Admin and Doc fees are now taxable as are any other fees described in GS 20-101.1 (administrative, origination, documentary, procurement, or other similar administrative fees). The tax rate is 3% for all vehicles for which a certificate of title is issued. |
