Biggest/Best dealership in the UK

As per the title which dealerships are the most recommended here/have the biggest allocation of build slots?

Park Lane? Think it's the only BMW owned dealership left?

Correct. And for used stock they usually undercut the franchises, causing much annoyance. Is it the 'biggest and best'? Not sure. The showroom is tiny and they store the stock across the road under Regents Park

Not sure if they get more build-slots than the franchise stream, I doubt it. Of those Sytner Nottingham is the biggest in units sold.

I think Sytner in Sheffield is physically one of the largest dealerships. Not that I’ve been but read it was one of the flagship sites.

Sytner Tamworth is impressive. It reminded me of being in an airport!

I think that they flew a master tech over from Munich to look at my e39 530d Touring (must have been back in about 2005 ish) as they couldn't solve a problem I had with the self levelling suspension.

Cooper Reading (or is it Inchcape Reading now?) is pretty ginormous place too. Whether bigger makes better is open to debate. My first BMW came from Holland Park in London who were good, but was serviced by Bridgegate and they were BMW dealer of the year twice....once in Chesterfield and once in Derby, both times the same dealer principal.

Then they were bought by Stratstone who thought he was too expensive and moved him on!

When I politely declined a sales quote from Stratstone at Chesterfield, I was virtually marched off the premises!

Interesting...

Yeah I heard about Park Lane, would be curious to find out if they did get any extras being BMW owned.

The biggest BMW retailer in the UK (North West) is Williams BMW Manchester.

Sytner BMW Sheffield is Sytner's biggest / flagship BMW centre (and is only 1 of 3 retailers in the world that has a BMW M Studio).

Park Lane is indeed owned directly by BMW UK (not sure if it still exists but their underground facility is amazing!).

This is exactly what I thought of John Clark in Aberdeen.

Berry may not be the biggest by a long shot, but imo they are the best.

I wanted to put a deposit down on an M3 Touring and he said 'you've got no chance'. I am now second in line at another dealership. I think hes a victim of very successful social media marketing with Joe, and just gets too many enquiries now... so screens them very early on.

Yeah I think your right. Its a shame because I was looking to buy and car along with my friend. He lost both sales due to his lack of customer care

Never ever had an issue like this with Tony. In fact the complete opposite… he’s always gone the extra mile for me. Email responses are always fast, even with the most trivial questions

I like Tim… top bloke. But when I contacted him about ordering an M440i he told me I’ve got no hope (this was in June) as there’s no allocation/part shortage. We didn’t even get to the point of talking numbers.

When I said Tim at Broadspeed it was actually Peter who I dealt with for the most time although I did speak to Tim on a couple of occasions. Both good blokes and Peter managed to get me a car which was a June build and had been ordered with the dealer in April. Think mine was one of the last available build slots they had left which was spec changeable.
First time I have ever used a broker but would definitely consider using these guys in the future (possibly a long way off for now though!) and even after paying their fees the discount from the supplying dealer was better than I was offered from my local dealership who couldn't get me a car anyway not having any build allocation at the time (March) until at least end of Q3 but more likely Q4 of 2021.
Also meant I wasn't tied to a BMW PCP deal like my local dealership was offering which left me free to choose my own finance option.

It was going to be 2.9% APR to be fair, and a reasonable discount of about 10%.
The deal through Broadspeed was an even better discount, certainly covered all my factory fitted options!
