I was given the opportunity from my dealer to purchase 1 of the 2 M440I Gran Coupes they have received. In Canada production allocation has been limited to the Individual Edition which for now is only available in 3 colors, BSM, Tanzanite and Dravit.

I originally chose the BSM but I have had 3 BSM BMWs in the past. Pros: Looks amazing when it's clean, more aggressive and has a nice silver reflection in the sun. I also find with this model 440i it blends the front grille in better (not that I hate the grille). Cons: gets dirty quick and shows imperfections more.

I have been contemplating Dravit recently. Pros: it is a dynamic color, shows dirt and imperfections less and still has a relatively sporty look. Cons: it puts more emphasis on the front grille, I'm worried I'm going to get sick of it after awhile (especially when it appears more flat when the sun is hiding).

Anqqqqy help or input with helping me with my decision is appreciated.

I wanted dravit grey
Looked nice then i seen a x6 in all black spahire metallic and im like yea blacks the way to go
So bought the black m440
It does show water spots and stufff like that
But love it and people tell me its nice lots of compliments being it is just black and blacked out the windows with 5% tint
Without the tint it doesnt look the same

I have Black Sapphire Metallic.

My advice would be to go for Dravit unless you like washing your car every time you use it

Ideally with an Ivory interior. Best combination for me……

Favorite for black.. under certain conditions I love the dravit but under certain.. I hate it.. and the grill blends in perfectly with black

You can't go wrong with Dravit; it is a unique color that stands out from the more traditional black and what have you. I have a Dravit color: hence, my opinion is biased. I got the color because it is dynamic - a different color every time depending on the light/shade. It also does a great job of hiding dust/dirt which helps with wash frequency

Make sure they buff that hood. My dealer put a bow on mine and I had swirl marks all over the hood.

Those are probably some of the best closeups I've seen of Dravit that highlight the gold flecking.

Still not my color, black gets my vote, but I appreciate the nuance to Dravit that comes out in your pics.
