2021 G20 Headlights not aligned after body shop work

Morning from Colorado!

Our son Kason was in a little fender bender. The body shop did a great job making it all look new again, but we noticed that the headlights are not "even". The passenger side has the same gap above and below the headlight. The drivers side actually sits on the bumper, and there is a huge gap all along the top.

The shop said they can get it in to fix it "in the next 2-3 months" since they are very busy. So I would like to fix it myself.

We tried the 2 torx that are supposedly to adjust the vertical and horizontal alignment. But the headlight itself doesn't seem to move.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Pics below!

Best, Bill and Kason

Did the two torx adjust the beam okay though? I had a light replaced by a body shop. The gap for me is fine but the beam itself is a little low.

In order to adjust the headlight assembly itself, you will have to losen the fasteners that attach the headlight to the vehicle.

If the headlight mounting bracket is not bent/displaced, you should be able to properly align the headlight assembly.

Attached images:

1) Location of upper headlight assembly fasteners (#2). You will have to remove some trim pieces to access these fasteners.
2) Location of lower headlight assembly fastener (#4). You will have to remove the front lower fender-liner to access this fastener.
3) Headlight mounting bracket (#7).

Also, double check the bumper cover is properly aligned.

Didn't get any email notification of these replies, so sorry for the delay. But THANK YOU! Will head down now to the garage and see what we can do!

They didn't move the headlights too much, so I think they are WAY off since we didn't pay attention to the alignment of the beam, just the spacing of the actual lights...

So when new, there isn't any up/down adjustment for the assembly itself, correct? Just the actual beam when the lights are on. Chances are the bracket is just a bit tweaked then, and I can probably bend it back into shape...

Down to the garage we go... Thanks!

On a 10’ throw mine is about an inch or so lower. Would it adjust enough for that? I certainly can go to the shop that did mine but if I can do it and not have to deal with them again I would prefer it.

Correct, other than the limited adjustment through the fasteners.

I suspect the mounting bracket and/or the other components (see pic3 in my original post) that the mounting bracket is attached may be bent.

What damage did your vehicle sustain?

Thank you for the pic.

The bumper cover appears to have been pushed-n so something could have been bent causing the headlight alignment issue.
