Alternatively, are you using it correctly? You need to push the stalk only half way and let go for it to engage, not fully |

You are probably pushing the stalk all the way down. Just push half way and release |

Well now BMW seems to have a how-to video on how this works and specifically says you need a July 2019 production car or later for driving assistant view.
Anyone ever confirm why it is disabled on cars prior to this production date? Were there hardware changes? People who coded it seem to say it works fine so I wonder why they don't enable this for cars that have paid for driver assistance pro. |

Good question.. I just coded this with (with the supplied instructions) on a June production vehicle without issue. Would like to know why also though.

It really annoys me how you pay for options and then they don't update them along with newer models!
Will this work in the UK? Just had my software updated after the idrive and cockpit was resetting when driving. Its now caused even more problems with some functions no longer working. Dealer doesn't have a clue! |

Just to confirm, you need to have Active Driving Assistant PROFESSIONAL for this to be able to be successfully coded.

Hi,
First off, I'd like to tip my hat and offer my thanks to Marcelo_BSB for discovering and showing us how to implement and use it -- WAY TO GO GUY!! Well, having my laptop setup for my F30, I finally, got around to setting it up with new versions of E-Sys (v3.31.0), ProLauncher (v3.5.1.261) and v.4.21.12_PSdZData_Lite. Yesterday, one of my first coding endeavors on my M340 (G20) was to code in both Driver Assistance View & Lane Change Assistant. The first two pictures below are of what was displayed on my instrument cluster and in my HUD; unfortunately, you have to enlarge the HUD picture or squint Suffice it to say, the HUD view still shows the same icons as before for driver assistant. Now, before I get into the slight differences from Marcelo_BSB video, want to provide further details. First my car has a manufacture date of 26 Jun 19 and was shipped with I-Step S18A-19-03-560 (or 1903.560); after my dealer applied the rear camera recall, the I-Step was S18A-19-07-570 (or 1907.570); and finally, I coded with S18A-19-11-540. After coding, I followed the video's instructions explicitly:
I went through all of the detail because after I did it, I no longer have the same menu settings. As you can seee from the 3rd & 4th pictures, my iDriver menu offerings are more akin to the official BMW video that TheGrok posted above. I think the reason for the differences is due to the I-Step (i.e, the software) versions in the car. I hope this helps anyone else who may code this super features into their car and wonder why the difference.

Thanks Marcelo_BSB. This is great information.
Just to be absolutely clear, can I do this on my UK Build March 2019 330i M Sport or is the hardware that I have out of date for this functionality? I have the 5AU Driving Assistant Professional option but don’t see the other documented options from above on my build like ZDA and ZDY unless they are not UK specific options. I have iStep 07/2019.55 but will soon be getting upgraded to 11/2019.40. Last edited by RoboPapa; 01-12-2020 at 03:29 PM.. |

G20 - tesla view issue
Hi guys,
I have G20 320xd with i-Level S18A-19-07-539 Car manufactured on 01.2019. I coded these 3 options and it shows a road in the middle of the instrument cluster but car don't appear when I use driving assistance mode. Can anyone advice what more can I do?

As an add-on to my earlier post, when I use the Lane Change Assistant, not only does it show the arrow to the changing lane on the instrument panel, but it also an arrow (pointed in the correct direction) in HUD icon -- in addition, of course, to actually changing lanes.
These two features are great!

Has anyone with an early 2019 build G20 vehicle with the Driving Assistant Professional option actually got the Enhanced Assisted Driving View fully working through Coding?
I believe it was only enabled by BMW for builds from July 2019 onwards. Could anyone clarify this from experience? Thanks. |
