Read and edit the HU_MGU ecu, and you should see the cheats on the right which should include VIM. Make sure you follow the instructions after coding to actually activate VIM (cheat code has the link to the instructions)

If I have some spare time over the holidays I want to add cheats for missing items, and list all the ECUs for finding the existing cheats

Yeah found cheat list on the right side in esys but I chose to look into the xml and just apply all those settings manually, I trust that more
Now if I could only code increase the time you can keep the hands off the wheel when driver assistance is on

Just to touch base, video in motion is working great for me now. I know someone said there's a hardware limitation where at 40MPH it shuts off no matter but mine has been working well over 40. It took a few times with the idrive controller up trick but it's good now.

looks like blue light for laser lights is a no go in the US. our light is there already, it's just white. Sorry for the terrible picture quality, but you can clearly see the small light strip right below the low beam lenses is white in the US, and blue everywhere else

What exactly is flashing breaking force?

Is there a way to code in so the middle brake light flashes as you apply the brakes?

An example of brake force display. Only under hard breaking, the extra brake/fog lights flash

Hello, Just wondering if anyone got a response for Tokenmaster. I have been trying to get in touch with him. Not sure if this is due to the holiday season.

Which instructions did you follow? The auto-response?

Hi,

Have finally gotten my laptop set up to do some coding on my M340 (G20). I am using LauncherPro v3.5.1.261, E-Sys 3.31.0 and v.4.21.12_PSdZData_Lite. I have coded Driver Assist View and Lane Change Assistant, thanks to Marcelo_BSB post in another thread, and several other items from Almaretto cheat sheet which have loaded in E-Sys.

Because of a bum knee, I particularly want to code the "Easy Access" function (driver's seat slides back when door is opened and returns to last driving position when ignition is turned on). On my F30, to get this function, I coded the following in the SM2 ECU:
EinAusStiegsHilfe from nicht_aktiv to Modus_FA_SLV
EAH_VerFahrWeg_SLV_Phys from 00, 3C to 00,37 [seat slide back position]
EAH_SchutzFreiRaum_Hinten_SLV_Phys from 00, 64 to 00,37 [seat safety stop]

Taking a page from Almaretto recommendations, I tried coding the above on my G20. Unfortunately, it has not worked.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to get this "Easy Access" to work on G20s?

Thanks

Throttle response is softer, and steering feels slightly lighter

Jeet: have you heard back from Tokenmaster? Using the instructions on this forum, on Jan 11 I sent him the required payment via paypal and only included my email in the notes. i never got a response so i forwarded the paypal payment receipt to his email on Jan Jan 14 asking nicely when i may get my Launcher Pro 3 access but still have not heard back from him. I understand the money goes to charity so he's doing all this on his personnel time but would be nice to hear back from him on when paid recipients would get their access.

i appreciate the quick response Jeet. on the Coding thread, Shawn had recommended http://esysx.com/ to another forum member who was also not getting a response back from Tokenmaster. i'm assuming for esysx, we would have to purchase the "Esysx 32/64 bit Lifetime License". i'll need to do some more research to ensure i don't fall in the same hole as i did with tokenmaster. Thanks.

Hi MoBMWs,

I have purchased eSysX myself and I got the license in less than 24 hours. I have coded using eSysX and everything works fine.

THANKS!!

siegester & NYC_340i ,

After the last 2 days down here of quite cold weather, the heated steering wheel coding has been a real find! While I was at, I set up a climate rule in the AC Menu to turn on driver's heated seat for same temperature.

Beaucoup Thanks!

G20 "Easy Access" Driver's Seat

Hi,

I have a 20 M340 (G20) and have just started coding some things on it.

Because I have a bum knee, I really like the "Easy Access" for the driver's seat -- that is, when you turn off the ignition, the driver's seat automatically slides back and when you press the ignition button, the seat slides to the last position.

I got this feature into my 2014 328 (F30) by coding the following in the SM2 ECU:
3000>SM_Global_6>EinAusStiegsHilfe from nicht_aktiv to Modus_FA_SLV
3012>EAH EAH>VerFahrWeg_SLV_Phys from 00, 3C to 00, 37 (hex values in mm)
3012>EAH EAH_SchutzFreiRaum_Hinten_SLV_Phys from 00, 64 to 00, 37 (Saftey stop) (hex values in mm)

Now I found these functions in the SM2 ECU of my G20 and coded them like the above except that the EinAusStiegsHilfe menu values were Modus_FA_Logik_FA_Tuer or another. I tried either of these values and can not get it to work the way it did on my F30.

Would appreciate any assistance or recommendations!

Thanks!

Hi jeet, Thanks for the feedback. I'll pursue eSysX as well then.
