Any trick to changing wheels on i4?
It's that time of year! Was going to change the wheels on my i4 M50 and thought I would check if anyone has knowledge of any issues or tricks to it. Changing to BMW winter wheel package.
All of my cars that I do change wheels on are much older - so not sure if there are any tricks with the tire pressure sensors. From what I read, the TPS (on the new wheels) should automatically link up once installed. I assume everything else is the same... except it being heavy AF. Any tips or warnings appreciated. |

I don't remember on my i4, but on my M3 there is a 'reset' option for TPMS. It just makes it go faster because eventually the car will probably figure out it needs to reset on its own. I would also recommend putting the tire pressure exactly as what the door sticker specifies before resetting the TPMS. I've found it makes the pressure readings more accurate.

Nope it's all straight forward with the exception of there not being any central jack points you can only lift from the posts on the sides and you will want to use a 3 ton jack. Be careful lift at each wheel and make sure not to bump your jack. Torque spec is 103ft/lbs 140nm. Reset tpms via idrive and you are good to go
