Brand loyalty...

Now I know all of you can't possibly be BMW 4 lifers? What's the story folks?

It's hard to close myself off to all car not BMW's, simply because I'm a car nut, I love cars period. I think to a very large degree however that BMW has the market cornered as far as engineering and performance(capabilities, etc.). Among the brands I hold in high esteem are: BMW, Porsche, Jaguar, Porsche(without a doubt), MB and that's about it. Otherwise it's just particular cars that intrigue me from other brands.

Brand loyalty can be detrimental to the consumers and the companies...just look at GM.

I am now loyal to BMW but I used to be a Honda fan. I still think Honas are great cars but they are sooo boring in comparison. The only brands I'd consider besides a BMW at this moment would be Porsche and Ferrari.

The S2000 and late-NSX aren't boring. There are so many brands I would consider equal over BMW in terms of purely performance or purely luxury, but BMW has the best balance of price, luxury, and performance imo.

I love you Nikki, and don't you forget it. Your flaws are perfection to me. Wow that was corny, but I don't think you're pathetic if you didn't register that already.

The S2k is hot but I can't see in one. I remember the salesman was trying so hard to convince me otherwise and even told me that after I bought it I could put blocks underneath to raise the seats, wtf? So it would be permanantly raised so no one besides me could drive it? I would never do anything like that to a car.

The NSX is way overpriced for what you get. It was cool when it first came out and then they really never changed anything.

I'm looking forward to seeing the euro spec honda civic launch in Geneva late this month/early next month. I'm not a big fan of Japenese cars, bar some Nissans(skyline of course) and Toyota's(Supra). I'd never buy a car from the land of the rising sun though, just not to my taste.

Damn, how do you see in an E90!? The NSX is perfectly priced, but I'd rather get a 997 S lol

I have power seats lol. They go up!
And I can't think of anyone I know that would choose a brand new NSX over anything else, so it isn't perfectly priced. That's why it's being discontinued. I can't wait for the replacement.

I've been a BMW fanatic since 1988. If I ever leave the brand it will be for Porsche.

Out of the whomb I was an MB fan, thanks to my Dad. When I was 12 I went to the tattoo parlor and got the roundel tatt'd on my left shoulder, and it's been there ever since. All the while though I've been a Porsche loyalist as well.

I still drive everything in the price range before buying, I like to be up to speed with what the competition is producing. but BMW always seems to be the best.

like others have said above, porsche is the only thing currently that could steal my $$ away from BMW

i'd also be willing to only go for better than BMW now. so, porsche would be my next up too.

my S2000. I know of several Socal'ers that once had or currently have an S2K and an E90. Perfect compliment in my garage IMO.

My E90 :rocks: but open her up on canyons she can't touch "Bitchin Betty" (My S)

I'm a first time BMW buyer. I used to hate BMW's because they have this lack of luxury. However, I did a drivers course at the performance center, and I fell in love. They handle really well, and now the cars have better interior styling. I'm a mercedes convert.
