A few days seems to be the norm based on what I have also seen others write about their experience. You might want to try calling, I don't think I called at all during that 3 day period, so it is hard to say if BMW genius would have different information. The times I had called when it was "At the Port" they did not have the ship information. |

I called BMW Customer Care and they said the same thing, but that it could still be in transit ... distance from the port is 42 miles away, less than an hour drive. Their only suggestion was to wait until Friday and call back. Not sure what is going on - CA is calling the port to find out whats going on. Was hoping to pick up the car today or tomorrow - but that seems unlikely now. EDIT: So CA is saying that even though VPC says the car is ready for pickup and delivery was scheduled for Saturday 9/7/19, the delivery company didn't actually come to pickup the car yet, and he doesn't know when the car will be delivered until they pick it up. This is a lot different than my last experience where the car was ready for pickup on Friday and it got delivered to the dealer on Saturday - and I was able to get the car Saturday. For your car, if it is in transit then it should be on a truck (for mine the status still says At the Port) - but I was told some carriers don't work on the weekends, so the car may have been picked up and was sitting over the weekend. It also may mean that the carrier picked up a bunch of cars and is delivering them - 4 hours away is fairly far, I have no idea how they organize things, but maybe they needed to deliver cars to somewhere further away first and then will stop at your dealer on the way back? But my guess is they don't necessarily drive directly from the port to your dealer. Also - if you haven't I would definitely recommend calling your CA. The mygarage status is usually a few days behind, so its possible the car is already at your dealer. I've been in touch with my CA pretty much every day checking in on whether the car is there yet. |

So talked to my CA again today, apparently they need to wait until there are 14 cars ready to be picked up for a particular carrier before they come to get the cars, so my car is waiting for there to be enough ... CA has no idea when it will get delivered. I'm still hoping for sometime this week though, but who knows!

You can call BMW North America at 800-831-1117, stay on the line, then say "vehicle production status", give it the last 7 of the VIN or Production Number, and it should give you a status update along with the estimated completion date.

My car arrived at the port on 8/30/19, my CA said it should arrive on 9/7/19, or roughly a week later but just today (9/12/19), it finally changed in mygarage to "In Transit", or 13 days later. My CA says he expects it to be delivered tomorrow and I'll be able to pick up the car on Saturday. *crossing fingers* thats actually the case!

The first time it hits "At port" it is the port in Germany. Then it is "In Transit" on a ship, then the status goes back to "At port" but this time they mean your port in the USA, and then to "In Transit" again - but this time it is ground transportation to the dealer. I was talking about being "At the port" in the USA for 13 days and now it is "In Transit" less than an hour away from the Port of Baltimore on a truck. I was also "At the port" in Germany for quite some time before it made it onto a ship, but the actual trip on the ship to the East Coast of the USA is less than 2 weeks. |

Finally picking up my car today! Negotiated the pricing on July 17th, placed my order July 19th, picking up September 14th - so nearly a full 2 months from start to finish. Can't wait!

Mine is off the truck and at the dealership. I can't pick it up until Friday due to travel but I'm stoked to see it!

I personally am coming from a Q50 RS400, which has a great engine but decades old infotainment, so jumping into the m340i is gonna feel like i just stepped into the future. |
