The shipping from Mexico to West Coast by sea to Port Hueneme, mine shipped with NYK vessel departed on 7/21 and arrived 7/27.

hello i am new this thread. my car finished production earlier this week and has been sitting on a port somewhere in mexico. no vessel assigned yet.

wondering how long before i can actually see delivery, my port of entry is baltimore according to my SA.

Call the BMW Genius number - 800-831-1117.
‬Once they assign your vehicle to a ship they will be able to give you the name of the ship with the ETA in Baltimore.

You can also track the ship on marinetracker.com once you know the ship's name.

It was on a ship last weekend and spent almost two extra days in the gulf due to the hurricane that went into southern Texas. I spent many days calling the BMW Genius for status updates. They were all very helpful. It seems like with the current situation with Corona, the factory doesn't update the car on every step of the process (or maybe this is just how the Mexico plant operates).

Its been a week for mine at the port now. Hopefully it is allocated next week to some carrier.

So it looks like from the factory to the port is about 2 day's I'm doing a PCD I hope it doesn't add too much time to my delivery

The long wait never end....
The truck driver suppose to deliver to the dealer this morning, and my dealer is able to arrange delivery to me tomorrow. As of 5pm, my car still not reach the dealer place......................

Yes hopefully. After talking to the bmw genius today they said they've been seeing longer than usual wait times for the cars at the port.

My delivery person advised my car was coming from mexico, however the VIN stars with WBA. For folks who are receiving M340I's from the mexico plant, how do you vin numbers start? Do your vins also begin with WBA or do they begin with 3MW?

WBA is Germany Mexico builds start with 3MW, I have a Mexico build and my vin is 3WM

Assuming you have a '21 order the reason would be the numbers and incentives released yesterday so they were going to ship the car until the numbers where out. There's another member with a 21 order from Germany and his car just went into transit 2 days ago after sitting at the port for a month.

My car has been sitting in "ready for transport" for 10 days.
